LeanBeef
All of the lines played good but that fourth line seemed to wear out the americans and hem em in their own zone a ton. Reminded me of the Kassian and Foligno line a few years ago.
dKs89
Dunno what you people are talking about, Comrie was great early on when the US was controlling the play. The 3rd goal wasn't great but in the end it is irrelevant.
FireGillis
Dominant game by Canada! Demko was the only reason this game wasn't a blowout.
Plum
Detroit has a good player in Larkin but he's been invisible other than those late goals. Domination in the 3rd period by Canada, didn't get trapped in their own zone and got out quickly as a 5 man unit. Demko made some really good saves, Canada could have won by 3 or 4 more goals. The mobility by the D is huge, they can all quickly skate it out and make it a 4 on 2 or 3 very quickly. Deadly team to mess with.

Canucks1219
I thought Comrie was good too. Probably not enough to get the next start, but still good. Just checked the TSN boxscore and, yep, Virtanen did not get an assist. That is an injustice.
SabreFan1
Canada just shifted into overdrive in the middle of the first, and the USA failed to match that intensity until the last half of the 3rd period. By then it wasn't enough.
DeNiro
Virtanen is slowly starting to click with his line I think. If he gets to stay there, I could see him coming alive next game against Switzerland/Denmark.
kazin!
Virtanen is a pleasure to watch. Demko looks like he'll be fantastic for us down the road. Finally, some top notch prospects!
Pears
Virtanen is a pleasure to watch. Demko looks like he'll be fantastic for us down the road. Finally, some top notch prospects! We are going to be so stacked in net in 5 years with two of Demko/Markstrom/Lack. Really excited.
-Vintage Canuck-
Looks like it will be Canada vs. Denmark in the quarter-finals.
Lui's Knob
Demko had a good game despite the goals against. Reminds me of a lanky Schneider... Tuch looked good as did Larkin. Virtanen was so so but Domi and Nurse had strong games. Didn't think mcdavid did much
Canorth
Anybody else find it a little off-putting that the only NHL executive interviewed was MacT? Flew in at 6 am to personally scout McD and Eichel. The thought of this guy getting his hands on one of these two makes me ill.

Unfortunately he'll be stunting the growth of one of those two soon enough.
Guest Dasein
Detroit has a good player in Larkin but he's been invisible other than those late goals. I disagree. I watched a couple of the other games and he's a really solid player for the US. He does everything for them - his role is to be the Ryan Kesler to Eichel's Henrik Sedin IMO and he's done it well. In this game, I didn't think he got much done maybe some time in the offensive zone but I didn't think he was a noticeable player out there. Other games him and Fasching have been their best players with the cycling and possession in the o-zone.

RRypien37
I can honestly say I was actually very happy with Gauthiers game tonight. He does seem excel in the heavier games and definitely played a role this game.

BanTSN
Wasn't Gauthier's line on the ice for both of the scary collapse goals at the end?
