TheRussianRocket.
@DarrenDreger: Oilers trade Perron to the Penguins for a 1st round pick in 2015. 1st rounder in this years draft. Good deal for both sides. Pens get a top 6 winger who should gel well with Gino or Sid and Oilers get a 20-30 range draft pick and add to their rebuilding rebuild. @FAN590: The #Penguins will also send winger Rob Klinkhammer back to Edmonton in the David Perron deal. #NHL ...that kind of sweetens the pot for Edmonton I'd have to say. Fulfills both teams needs and both come out as winners; I'd argue Oilers got the better end of this deal.
Pears
The tanking has officially begun for Edmonton. Pittsburgh just got even better.
Ryan Strome
I can't believe Edmonton got a 2015 1st rounder.
N7Nucks
If they did this a week ago they could've got Paajarvi back. It'd be pretty funny if Pittsburgh goes on to the cup finals. Pretty much an early 2nd.

Pickly
Perron with Kunitz like numbers for the next couple years. Count on it.
TheRussianRocket.
Klinkhammer going to Edmonton as well from the Pens.Perron with Kunitz like numbers for the next couple years. Count on it. Yep, I'm definitely sensing that.
greetingsfrombrazil
Even if it's a late first, that's a very good draft pick in a excellent draft class. Great deal for the Oilers. Good deal for the Pens. Perron can play with either Crosby and Malkin, will get back to scoring 57 points or more.

Haha yeah but it's gonna be tough - the East is Tampa Bay's to lose. 1) Tampa Bay 2) Montreal 3) Pittsburgh Right now for me at full health - Pittsburgh is a top defenseman and solid goaltending (until Letang [or Maatta steps up in his place] and MAF prove themselves again) from being a legitimate contender again. Don't see how picking up Paajarvi makes them worse.
Kazmanian Devil
This is a nice hockey trade. Could this be the year Pitt returns to the finals? Between them, Tampa, and Montreal imo

BanTSN
Don't mind Perron, but seems like overkill for Pittsburgh. How long is Dupuis out?
