canucklax
Larkin was an absolute steal for Detroit but it's way too risky to throw a high end pick at a kid from the program. Why would it be risky?
Canucks1219
I'm sure the Canucks are always looking at the USNTDP prospects. It's just that the best players on the team normally occupy the mid-first round range and we haven't picked there at all recently. If we finish where I assume we will this year, picking between 13-19, there will be 3 players right in our wheelhouse: Jordan Greenway, Colin White, and Jeremy Bracco. Greenway (6'5/223 lbs) - LW. Shoots left. Currently ranked 14, 15, 24, 27 by the ISS, Hockeyprospect.com, Future Considerations, and McKeen's Hockey respectively. Has 17 points (2g, 15a) and 32PIM in 21 games. White (6'0/183 lbs) - Listed as a RW/C. Shoots right. Currently ranked 21, 15, 18, 12 by the ISS, Hockeyprospect.com, Future Considerations, and McKeen's Hockey respectively. Has 20 points (10g, 10a) in 19 games. Bracco (5'9/172 lbs) - Listed as a C/RW. Shoots right. Currently ranked 17, 20, 17 by the ISS, Hockeyprospect.com, and Future Considerations respectively. Has 46 points (12g, 34a) in 28 games. Only AFTER we start paying attention to the Kelowna Rockets first. Severson, Bowey, Keith, Edler, Weber and so many more....ALL in our back yard Edler was drafted out of a second-tier Swedish junior league and moved to Kelowna as Canucks property the next year. But, yeah, we need to start taking kids out of Kelowna more.
