(Proposal) Van- Bos

Recommended Posts

I am going based off what I have heard through the rumour mill lately. A lot of Boston and Vancouver chatter with Higgins and Kassian being names I have heard. As well as Bieksa and Lack (Not necessarily with Boston) but here are a few ideas that have popped to mind....

Option one

Boston Aquires

Zack Kassian

Chris Higgins

Ryan Stanton

2016 3rd Rounder

Vancouver Aquires

Torey Krug

Seth Griffith

Alex Khokhlachev

Option two

Boston Aquires

Zack Kassian

Chris Higgins

Kevin Bieksa

2016 1st Rounder

Vancouver Aquires

Torey Krug

Seth Griffith

Dougie Hamilton

Option 3

Boston Aquires

Eddie Lack

Kevin Bieksa

Zack Kassian

Chris Higgins

Ryan Stanton

2016 First Rounder

Vancouver Aquires

Malcom Subban

Dougie Hamilton

Seth Griffith

Torey Krug

Alex Khokhlachev

Option 3 may be more of a pipe dream but we can all dream. These trades would save us loads of cap space and would allow us to do more come draft. It does kind of blow up the team a bit but Higgins isnt at his best this year, Bieksa i'd hate to lose but he would be a good chunk of cap space saved and he wont be in the NHL much longer. Although if we could pull a trade like any of those off without him i'd be for it. Markstrom is playing well enough to be a back up for a couple years behind Miller and with Thatcher Demko as the future imagine adding Malcom Subban to that. Would potentially be a solid 1, 2 punch. Stanton for the fact he is a regualr and would fit on the Bruins blue line. Kassian I dont see filling out to what the Canucks thought or more so MG thought. He wont be top 6 where as Griffith or Khokhlachev have that potential.

May be way off but just an idea I am throwing out

There goes the season. Given up already, have we?

Not at all just working off what I heard in the Rumour mill... Trade or not we will be a good contending thing

I don't want Krug. We already have an under-sized d-man in our system named Jordan Subban. Pass.

Jordan Subban I think will be a surprise and may be as good as his brother PK. Excited for him to make the team one day. Wont be as good as PK but Pk says he is better. Have to give him a chance

Definitely. Upside is there, question is will he put it all together? If he becomes a Tyson Barrie, or a smaller version of PK (minus the ego), I will not complain.

*You're

*although

*horrible. Option four:

*Boston

*posts. Yes, please.

If that's all you have to say (particularly the name calling), don't bother saying it. You've made some terribad proposals yourself, Mr. Pot.

But, OP, those get increasingly less likely to happen, and I doubt even the first one would be considered since we move from bigger, more effective all around players to smaller and specialist players.

Too many pieces moving, unrealistic. I'm not the first person to state this but...

I can see one of Higgins or Kassian to Boston for a 2nd round pick + mid level prospect.
Khokhlachev is one of their top 3 prospects, Boston is not going to trade him for guys that aren't contributing.
Boston needs to shed cap for next season.
