Mackcanuck
Hope he is okay to come to Van next on Thursday night Luongo initially shook off a significant collision with Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin late in the first period, but he didn’t return to action in the final frame. It looks like Al Montoya will take over for the remainder of the contest while an update may come sometime after the game’s over, according to the Miami Herald’s George Richards. About the best news is that he returned to the bench midway through the third period. Update: Luongo, 35, said that he’s fine and just left the game for precautionary reasons, Richards reports. There was no penalty on the play as Ovechkin collided with Luongo, who was trying to stop a chance in bold Dominik Hasek-like fashion.

Putgolzin
Typical he would be back halfway through the 3rd, he just used "precautionary reasons" as an excuse for an extended bathroom break

elvis15
That's not clobbered, should ask Miller about getting clobbered.
poetica
People thinking it was a "dive" should see the actual video as the gif in the first post doesn't do it justice. Even Ovi came over to check to see if Luo was okay. It was accidental but it was a serious hit, with Ovi's shoulder pad going straight into Luo's head. Coconuts
Seems like Luongo is alright? Damn though, Ovi 8 is not a train you want to get in front of.
apollo
Hope he's ok for our game next week. Apparently he came back to the bench half way through the third. I've had it marked on my calendar for way too long. It wouldn't be the same if it was Montoya in net.
Tom Sestito
There's no way Ovi was going to stop because it was a 50/50 chance. Meanwhile, Lucic looked up and went straight into Miller also extending his arms. Big difference
WilliesStache14
That's not clobbered, should ask Miller about getting clobbered. well unlike Lucic, Ovechkin isn't a piece of %@#! and actually let up and tried to avoid making contact.

Pimp C
Did he whine afterwards and call Ovi a POS? Or is that only reserved for the real headcases.
