trade deadline proposals VAN-NJD

Recommended Posts

VAN: Tlusty, Sekera, 3rd

CAR: Lack, Stanton

Carolina needs a new goalie and Lack could push Ward for mins. Stanton is a good young top-6 dman and replaces Sekera on roster.

VAN: Erat

PHX: Higgins, Ericsson

(clears cap and roster spots for youngsters for next few years).

-With Canatta, Markstrom, and Demko still in our goalie prospect depth we can afford to trade away Lack and Ericsson

.- We bring in a top-6 winger in his prime. a top-4 with offensive upside which can improve the PP.

- Erat essentially plays same role as Higgins but we can let him walk at end of the season. PHX does this because they have low cap and he is signed at a modest 2.5 for the next 3 years and can still provide good offense in a top-9 role.

Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata

Tlusty-Bonino-Erat

Burrows-Richardson-Kassian

Dorsett-Horvat-Hansen

Edler-Tanev

Hamhuis-Sekera

Bieksa-Sbisa

Miller

Markstrom

Next season top-6

Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata

Shink-Bonino- Virtanen/Jensen/Kassian/ (Could also re-sign Tlusty or Erat if they play well)

Don't flame him just yet. He just forgot to post the last part of the proposal:

To NSH:

Martin Erat

To VAN:

Filip Forsberg

Done and done

Realistically what would it take to get forsberg out of NSH. He's easily there top offensive prospect and he's living up to his hype. They don't really need D, Jones, Weber, Ellis, Josi in the top 4, They don't really have a full top 6 although it seems to be working so far into the season.

Realistically, they wouldn't trade forsberg.

But in our pretend world it would probably take

Bonino, Virtanen, and a 3rd

LOL why does everybody think that for a trade to be "realistic" we have to sell both kidneys and a lung? Why on earth would we trade a 2nd liner who's just about to enter the prime of his career, arguably our top prospect with elite powerforward potential and a 3rd rounder for a 20 year old who's having a good season. Forsberg could just as easily bust in a couple of years. He's having a good season, that's it... he still hasn't proven much at the NHL level so take a breather, he's not crosby

You may be right but by realistic I mean actually put yourself in the shoes of Nashville.

If Forsberg was on our team, you wouldn't ask any less than that deal.
