Burrows is the spark, not Vrbata

*Buzzsaw*

In my opinion the coach did the wrong thing in putting Vrbata with the 2nd line to get it started... he isn't the guy who is going to do that.

Burrows has been the guy who has sparked the lines he's been put with... he should have been the player to go back to the 2nd line.

Overall the same problem remains with the Canucks... we need better defense. Miller can't do it every night, and the giveaways were crippling. Hopefully Hamhuis is back soon, he plays well out of the gate and we get some stability.

I think it's visible the Sedins enjoy playing with him more. With Vrbata they lack the creative plays that come naturally with Burrows. It'd be a mistake to put him back on the second line.

The last few PPs the Sedins completely ignored Vrby..they were to busy passing the puck to eack other with Vrbatta wide open.

Burrows will always be the man. Even now with him in decline, I think he is wasted with the Sedins. I dont like to see him getting his career shortened in the tough areas while those two fiddle around on the outside.

That's kind of what I was implying.

They look him off because they've come to learn he doesn't think the same way as him. As soon as Burr hit their line the mid ice tip in play activated, the one two shuffle with Burr being pinned by two players against the boards between the benches creating space on the far side of the ice for the puck to be carried in. Ignoring the PP the Sedins (although noticeably slower, attributed to aging) actually created some damn good chances tonight and were battling on the boards. Call me crazy but I swear they don't try as hard when Vrbata is in their line.

Vrbata is not the man and the coach is having problems recognising that.

Defense is the real problem.

Burr is the man.

Vrbata has been the man with three game winners while hovering around the NHL top ten in goals scored.

The coaching staff and GM are being creative trying to get another line scoring.

There has not been a lot of offense lately from any line not manned by a Vrbata/Sedin.

Defense is not a problem but their lack of offensive output is.

Overall offensive production is a problem.

That is why Vrbata is on the second line.

This is so true... I don't understand at all the ones who wants to get rid of Burr. Sure, he might not be scoring like past years, but he's the only player who does the job, every night, and ignites the lines he's playing in.

IDK. I think the ice time indicates Vrbata was not 100% against FLA. And the game plan seemed to be to get Burrows in front of Luongo. It worked on the 1st goal. I don't mind Burrows on the 1st line sometimes. He the best candidate as net presence ATM.

I think Vrbata is the best scorer on the team so it make sense to try him with Bonino.

---------------

But why not reward Horvat? Also I don't mind Vey but I don't get all the rope he's given. Jensen should be given the same chance on RW. DeFazio on LW. And I like Dorsett but why is he on the PP?

Benning and Desjardins puzzle me. They seem to way too focused on willing the people they brought in to succeed instead of what's best for the organization.

Sedin-Sedin-Kassian

Burrows-Bonino-Vrbata

I'd really like to see these two lines :)

I think it doesn't matter that much who plays with the twins, so why not try to jump start Kass by putting him 5-6 games with them?

(That line will probably provide some goals anyway, no matter of who plays the third role.)

And the second one sounds very intriguing!! Burr for the speed and drive, Bones for the playmaking and Vrbata for the shots.

Let's give Willy a call B)

You've seen Hansen with them, right?
