Zfetch
All-Star teams and game are so stupid. Girgensions and Foligno are career 2nd/3rd line tweeners. Faulk and Byfuglien aren't even all-stars, Byfuglien can barely skate and he's played defence for only 20 games this season. Foligno is currently playing on the first line, and he's been damn good too.
Dion Phaneuf
This is one of the worst all-star rosters I've seen..seems like the rosters were announced after some players have declined. Too bad the all-star game doesn't consist of actual stars. Representing at least a player from each team ruins the purpose of the game imo. Mostly a having a great season roster. Plum
Foligno is currently playing on the first line, and he's been damn good too. Yeah for half a season, before that who was he? A 2nd/3rd liner? He only made it because it's in CBJ and you can make an excuse that he's a good player (this season).
nuck nit
Congrats to Radim. He has been in and around top ten in NHL goals scored this season so he is an elite player.Stellar pickup when adding an NHL star without losing picks or players. bigbadcanucks
Would it be possible for Radim to decline the invitation and have Tom Sestito go in his place so that Radim can rest and Tom can get some ice time? You know, sort of how John Garrett got his only NHL All Star Game appearance way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth? Am glad neither of the Sedins/Edler or any other Canuck were not invited to play in this gratuitous/meaningless Gary Bettman spectacle. IMO, rest is better than wasting time and energy on the All Star Game.
nuck nit
The NHL All Star game goes back to the second World War.I would give anything to go back and see a game with: Mario,Wayne,Brett,Jari,Dino,Bourque,Coffey,Housley,Reinhart,Luc and Stevie Y all on the ice together. This is the NHL royalty show and it would have been a real treat to have seen this game:http://www.hockey-reference.com/allstar/NHL_1989_roster.htmlGet the fan voting out of it and bring it back to a representation of the league's true All-Stars. WilliesStache14
The Sedins are 25th and 28th in points per game. They probably would have made it, but the NHL requires one all star per team. that's the only reason Vrbata is even there lol, had to pick someone from Vancouver if that wasn't a requirement nobody would be there
Owen Nolan
The Sedin's are not done. It's just that they aren't "skill" players. They cycle and play a cerebral game. It's not that much fun to watch until they score and they don't score off the rush which is also more exciting to watch. One dumb comment.

nuck nit
Vrbata has only played in 36 games this year while the NHL's top - ten goal scorers have played up to 43 games, already.Despite that, his goals per game average indicate he is the best sniper behind Malkin, Van Riemsdyk and Taveres for the top ten list ranking honor amongst all NHL players. That is NHL All - Star caliber.Vrbata .444 goals per game averageNHL top goal scorers:#13.Kucherov .395 goals per game average#12. Johnson .405 goals per game average#11. Malkin .45 goals per game average#10. Tavares .463 goals per game average#9.Van Riemsdyk ..452 goals per game average
Dion Phaneuf
Shouldn't the point of the all star game be naming players having good seasons? Yes, but I don't feel that this year's game is showing off the league's true talent.
BoKnows53
Fans around the NHL know the Sedin’s are done. Wake up Vancouver. Fans around the NFL know that Tom Brady isn't winning any more superbowls.
