Fun Game to play

I thought with the recent dry spell of scoring and posts being made about lines and this player and that player sucking donkey... Why not throw our forwards' names into a hat, literally, and see what comes of it...

I separated the centres and drew them first including wingers who can play centre, then the wingers left from that draw I put into the winger draw... The last man standing was the scratched forward,

Line 1: Richardson Henrik Kassian

Line 2: Vrbata Vey Daniel

Line 3: Dorsett Matthias Hansen

Line 4: Burrows Horvat Bonino

Healthy Scratch: Chris Higgins

Feel free to comment on my lines, or post your own. Interesting combos and could create something new we haven't seen or thought of...

Jokes aside, but with our second line, we'd be losing face-off draws like crazy.

And I never thought of putting Boner on the wing.

Third line looks feisty. Getting into the opponents face.

I've done exactly what you have done and here is mine:

Line 1: Matthias/Henrik/Burrows

Line 2: Vrbata/Horvat/Daniel

Line 3: Higgins/Boner/Kassian

Line 4: Dorsett/Richardson/Hansen

Healthy scratch: Vey.

Meh.

Maybe we don't think of them as first line, second line, etc... Just different combos to look at... At this stage of our offensive game, why not? I think the Henrik line is interesting, Henrik with a big body like Matthias that can cycle and Burrows who goes to the net and can fish out loose pucks..Of course the Dorsett line is a good one too

I don't think you got that this is completely random apart from ensuring that 4 centers are drawn first. There is no thought to who is best in what position, or the overall quality of the lineup. That means some centers will end up on the wing, and some wingers for us who are listed as centers will end up taking draws.

Not much point in critiquing the outcome as a result.

And of course, since it's completely random there's not a lot of point to it either apart from being so bored you want to see what random combination of letters you can put together.

Hello, that would be the point... Some of these line proposals can be narrow focused... Why not random? It's called thinking out of the box and having fun doing something different

Why not! I'm bored.

Your lines are pretty outside the box. But you never know... Any of those lines could click or do poorly. Here's mine! I'm playing it safer and pretty much sticking to pairs that worked best so far.

Daniel Henrik Hansen

Higgins Bonino Vrbata

Matthias Richardson Kassian

Dorsett Horvat/Vey Burrows

I like my pairs on the left wing and center. I'd keep them all together and if need be just swap right wingers.

Defense

Eddy Tanev, bieksa stanton, Weber sbisa

Did you honestly draw these put of a hat? The point is tryin to come up with lines at complete random that haven't been tried yet...

Completely missed the point of the thread.

I'll do mine after I eat my dinner, then post results.

Not sure how much fun it was, but interesting lines certainly result from the game.

My lines, drawn from a Canuck cap:

1. Higgins - Horvat - Richardson

2. Kassian - Bonino - Vey

3. Vrbatta - H.Sedin - Dorsett

4. Burrows - Matthias - D. Sedin

Healthy Scratch: Hansen

I would like to see the 3rd. and 4th. combos for real. Wish Higgins had been my scratch though.
