Id be so pissed if we take another all around player, for crying out loud, if Gaunce, McCann, Horvat is not enough, I will offically have lost hope in JIm Benning. Potential top line players or a potential top 2 dman, who can control the play.

prefeably, Jeremy Roy, or try to hit a home run with Kylington. Vince Dunn is also not bad, however, based on overall rankings, 23 might be a little high, that said, he does play an offensive puck possession type of style, so that's a plus also.

Total pass on "all around" dmans. Drafting an "all around" dman is equal drafting a Jared McCann or a Brenden Gaunce but a dman. I'd be chocked if we made a safe pick, at 23.

we recently drafted a similar player to him, in McCann, and you can even say Bo Horvat..... He's just a lighter version of Bo Horvat, maybe more speed, but nothing else... I'm not sure what is the deal of loading up the team with a bunch of second line players. Do something like that, we will never win a stanley cup. We will be a "good" team for years to come, but never a contender due to lack of offensive fire power.

You going to be disappointed then.

My Wish List:

Colin White 1st

Vince Dunn 2nd early (Lack trade)

Ryan Pilon or Rasmus Andersson 2nd late (Bieksa trade)

Blake Speers 3rd (Bieksa trade)

Yakov Trenin 4th early (Matthias rights traded)

Caleb Jones 4th

Brad Morrison 5th

Gustav Bouramman 5th

All of those guys will be gone by your proposed rounds.

Trenin and Jones will go second round. Morrison and Bouramman I predict 4th round respectively.

Just so you know, Matthias is a free-agent. What are these "rights" you speak of? He's walking.

Also White will be gone by 23. And even if he falls, I don't want him unless he can play LW.

He might slide, I have a feeling defenders will be moving up the ladder and forwards will be sliding

I second this too. A lot of rankings have him in the early to mid 20's. Sure there are some that have him in the late teens. 6'0 175 pounder, "2way" centermen? Kid screams Colin Wilson. another low risk low reward. He will probably drop.

You going to be disappointed then.

Meh, it's ok, I will just prepare for the worst and when it does happen, I won't even be mad.

Nylander's first name is William.

You got the reference, not the joke.

Haha no I knew where you were going, I was just trying to put forth a real woman's name. Anyway, back on subject...

DRAFT STUFF

All this talk of moving up in the draft, but unless we're getting another first for Lack, Hamhuis, etc (doubtful) I don't see it happening nor do I really think it's plausible. Simply put, it's going to drain our prospect cupboard too much. If anything I'd rather see JB trade down for 2 seconds unless there's somebody that's too tempting to pass up on at 23. To me, that's likely to be a fairly short list of players: Svechnikov, Guryanov, Zboril, Eriksson Ek off the top of my head.
