ken kaniff
Vancouver: RW Zack Kassian, D Yannick Weber Boston: D Torey Krug -Boston is looking for a top 9 power forward. Kassian is young and fits the Boston style. Weber replaces Krug on defense. -Krug adds speed and offense from the back end. Vancouver: D Kevin Bieksa (retain 25%) Detroit: RW Tomas Jurco -Detroit has only 1 RHD on their roster. Bieksa adds grit to their team and a RHD. -We get a young skilled RWer. They have an abundance of young wingers in their system, Jurco is expendable leaving room for Mantha next season. Vancouver: LW Chris Higgins, D Ryan Stanton Winnipeg: WIN 2nd '15 -Winnipeg is a step away from being a playoff team. This gives them depth up front and on defense. Higgins is a versatile player, can play up and down the lineup. Stanton is a solid depth option for a team that has been riddled with injuries. -We get a decent pick in this deep draft. Vancouver: C Brad Richardson New York Rangers: NYR 3rd '15 -Rangers get an excellent 3C. An upgrade on Moore. -We replace our 3rd round pick this year. We now have 1 1st, 2 2nd's and 1 3rd for the draft. We could potentially move up using these picks. Roster after trades: Daniel Sedin-Henrik Sedin-Radim Vrbata Alex Burrows-Nick Bonino-Tomas Jurco Shawn Matthias-Linden Vey-Nicklas Jensen Derek Dorsett-Bo Horvat-Jannik Hansen Tom Sestito Dan Hamhuis-Torey Krug Alex Edler-Chris Tanev Luca Sbisa-Frank Corrado Bobby Sanguinetti Ryan Miller Eddie Lack

Mimerez
Jurco is such a promising young forward. Just because they have a lot of skilled wingers, doesn't mean they'd want to give one up for an aging, on the decline, veteran. ActiveDouble
We already have a Torey Krug type player in Subban. I have said it before and I'll say it again. If we are trading size away, I want size coming back.
KassianArtRoss
First and last thing is Kassian is better then Krug so we are just giving them Weber
ken kaniff
Kassian better than Krug? Really. You dont know who you are talking about. Krug had 40pts last year while being decent defensivley. He's doing well again this year. He is better than Kassian without a doubt. Subban is years away from even trying to make the NHL. Krug is already here and can contribute. Size doesn't = better team. Ya we would have to add to get Jurco. I still think a deal could be worked out. And why would you stop reading after the Boston trade? This has been proposed before and was well received.

Ryan Strome
I'm a big supporter of Kassian but some in this thread should watch him play this season because they're way over-hyping him

Krug relies on sheltered minutes and isn't that great defensively. If Detroit and Bieksa are willing to take it, I'd be fine with it. I'd take the Winnipeg trade. Nope, don't want to trade Richardson for a 3rd (or in general really).

Hunter_74
Absolute no to Krug. All I hear on this forum is we need to get bigger and faster. Trading Kassian for Krug makes no sense. We already have Subban and now Forsling. I am open to trading Kassian, just not for an undersized, sheltered and defensively unreliable player in Krug. ken kaniff
You guys have no idea what your talking about with Krug. He doesnt get sheltered minutes. He just plays on the 2nd pairing. And he's not bad defensively he's just not a crease clearing defenseman.

Really? http://www.hockeyabstract.com/playerusagecharts He's faces the easiest competition of Bruins' defenseman other than Joe Morrow and gets the most offensive zone starts of Bruins' defenseman other than Zach Trotman.
