Burnsey
We need a top 6 guy. Doan's 23points would be 4th on this team behind the Sedins and Vrbata. He could fit well with either the Sedins or Bonino, and would surely help make the top 6 better. If this was a few years ago (hell even 2 years ago) I would like it, but with his age and where he is at this point in his career it's probably best not to go for it especially if the piece going back is a young guy (like Kassian, Jensen, Fox, etc.) I would prefer the Canucks fight through this rough patch than to over react with a trade that may only help us for a year or two at best. Fighting through and keeping the young guys is the better route.
Agoork
I'd much rather target Boedker. Vermette will be a UFA, and neither Vermette nor Doan get us any younger. If we can trade Higgins (NTC) or Matthias instead of Kassian, great. Otherwise, I'd be ok with letting Kass go for Boedker. I'd still trade Higgy somewhere though - maybe to the Islanders to help their PK. M. Boedker - N. Bonino - N. Jensen / A. Burrows / R. Vrbata
Pimp C
Brainless Benning will offer them Horvat, Kassian, Tanev and Virtanen for Doan and Mike Smith
StarGirl
I liked Doan years ago, but right now I don't see how he's going to work out for us because of his age and how we're intending to rebuild younger...
Plum
I love Doan but big cap hit for too little of what he brings and it's just not worth it for us.
