Green Building
Well now, that's a cheap little chicken wing.

Bob.Loblaw
Well now, that's a cheap little chicken wing. Agreed and Suter must pay the price for this, but why do I also feel like Downie was trying to sell the call?

Guest Dasein
You mean the NHL is going to suspend a star player?! EDIT: ridiculous that Suter gets a call for this but Robidas doesn't for his hit elbow on Matthias though
Chalky
That is an unnecessary play. The chicken wing needs to go...along with its best architect Matt Cooke.
Master Mind
The Wild just know how to keep digging themselves further into a hole. I wonder if Suter got the idea from seeing his teammate Cooke do it so often...
RonMexico
If anyone deserves that it was downie No one deserves it. Especially someone with a concussion history.
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Ain't no thang but a chicken wang. Didn't look malicious to me not much force behind it. Dirty play on a dirty player I hope his phone rings but I don't think he will be suspended.
tyhee
It was blatant, it was strictly to the head, it was not in any way part of a check and there's no way to argue it wasn't deliberate. Suter has been quoted as saying it was accidental as he was going for the puck. That's clearly a lie. He was done reaching for the puck well before the hit and the elbow movement was out of the way of where his arm would need to go to reach the puck. No penalty was called. Minnesota scored just afterwards. Downie left the game and didn't return. I don't think Suter has been previously suspended and he doesn't take a lot of penalties-though he took more earlier in his career. I think it should be a suspension but predict a fine. MikeyBoy44
My tsn app just sent me a message saying 2 games.
Master Mind
I like that he got 2 games. Too bad every other player who does this doesn't get the same outcome.
oldnews
don't care for either of them and it doesn't matter who the target is, it's clearly an intentional head shot for which Suter should receive a suspension.
Mr.DirtyDangles
....and Robidas on Mathias gets zip ? ESAD DPS !
Burnsey
Stupid play. Downie had lost the puck, so any contact would have been a bit late, but an elbow to the face? Really stupid. Never expected that from Suter. He seems to be a good and clean player (although I don't watch too many Wild games just what I know about the guy...I could be wrong?) Butters Stoch
That was almost as satisfying as seeing the infamous Neal knee on Marchand.
Psycho_Path
And burrows got 3 for his hit on Emelin, who altered his movement/positioning just before Burrows hit him....
