DollarAndADream
Brodeur is one of if not the best goalie of all time. Whenever he does eventually retire it has been a great career for him. This week off can be anything but the guy obviously still loves playing hockey.
HC20.0
Perhaps Marty's realizing that signing after declining for a couple years at his age was a stupid idea. The only reason he wanted to play at all was just to hit 700, which as remarkable as that is, was unrealistic to begin with given his decline, and I think he realizes that. Burnsey
Hope he continues for the rest of the season. Deserves this last season to be a full one. I know people say he isn't the same player he was, and that he should have retired a year or two ago but I don't care how old you are. If you are still passionate about the game and can physically play then you should play. I mean 20+ years in the NHL not to mention all the pre-18 years he played. A lifetime of hockey and he still wants to play. Imagine playing your favourite sport(or doing anything you enjoy) for your entire life and people telling you should retire/give it up. It's not for us to say. As Jim Robson once said, "He'll play, you know he'll play". Sure it's not exactly the same but the main point is still valid! (PS. I think it was Robson, sorry I was like still a young toddler so I could be wrong here haha)

higgyfan
Remember when people were saying that the Canucks would be better off with a Lack/Brodeur tandem than Miller/Lack?
JeremyCuddles
^ Might still be true depending on what we'd do with the Miller cap. Assuming we don't pay Brodeur the full 6 mil.

Me_
StL twitter. St. Louis will stick with Brian Elliott and Jake Allen. 7gp 2.87gaa 3w 3l .899sv% Why do the greats almost always elect to leave the game too late? He might be given yet another shot, but why? "Why do the greats almost always elect to leave the game too late?" Because they were great. Now they're in denial.
