Putgolzin
Stick with me for a second before going crazy...some talking head media types here in Toronto are convinced Kessel is getting traded to Vancouver (which I think is stupid to begin with), and my friends are convinced this is going to happen with Horvat going the other way. These guys are actually very knowledgeable hockey fans but I think they're on crack on this point. Can I get some confirmation that I'm correct that Benning would get strung up on Granville if he ever considered something like this?

Dral
I'd be fine with it as long as they tossed in a couple 1st round picks

William_Clarkson
Toronto would never even think of doing that, but Kessel is absolutely useless without his shot.

Guest Dasein
Wow... First of all no way, from a Canucks perspective. Second of all no way from a Leafs perspective - quite the underpayment.
Nuxfanabroad
TO's prob gonna organize a nicely marked down flea market, for fleeing Leafs..& a feeling they'll get fleeced!
Tystick
If TO offered Kessel for Horvat, Benning would do it in a heartbeat. In order words, your friends are on crack. #confirmed

Odd.
Rather have JVR honestly. Fits our meat and potatoes style play and he's young.

Ghostsof1915
No. I counter with: Kassian $1.75 Mil Higgins or Hansen $2.5 Mil provided he agrees. Bieksa $4.5 Mil provided he agrees. Cassels Junior doesn't count to cap $8.75 Mil For Morgan Rielly $1.744 JVR $4.25 Franson $ 3.30 $9.29 Million JVR more than makes up for Kassian, Rielly gives us a potential stud D-man for years. Franson fills the hole on the right side. Gives Toronto $0.5 million more space. Then they can go with "Potential" in Kassian and Cassels. We get the top 6 forward we need, and fill in holes on our D. Even if Franson eventually walks Rielly and JVR makes up for it.

We'd be looking at: Sedin - Sedin - Vrbata JVR - Bonino - Burrows Matthias - Richardson - Vey Dorsett - Horvat - Hansen Edler - Tanev Hamhuis - Franson Rielly - Corrado Stanton, Sbisa, Weber Miller Lack That's pretty fracking stacked.
