Vancouver trade with Buffalo (Proposal

This trade would be based around how management sees the future of our goaltending. Do they plan on keeping Lack around with Demko in minors? One of them will have to go, especially since we have Markstorm

MIKHAIL GRIGORENKO is disgruntled in Buffalo.

To Buffalo:

Thatcher Demko

To Vancouver:

Mikhail Grigorenko

OR

To Buffalo:

Eddie Lack

3rd 3015

To Vancouver

Mikhail Grigorenko

2nd 2015

Sedin's Vrb

Bur Bon Grig

Hig Horv Mat

Hans Vey Dor

I think those are both heavily lopsided in our favour. Try switching the draft picks in the second one for starters. The first might be interesting for Buffalo as they need a goalie but Grigorenko is worth far more right now. We would have to add.

I'm extremely hesitant to lose either Lack or Demko, but I still don't think Buffalo does either of these. They aren't the best deals for Buffalo even aside from their needs. Also, Buffalo needs good young players like Grigorenko.

If you ever make another thread like this one, please create and use an alt account so we won't actually know who you are. You get to make all of the ridiculous trade proposals that you want to without the fear of future shunning.

The second proposal is even worse than the first one. :sadno:

To me he's just Nikita Filatov 2.0

Both were top prospect, both played junior in North American, however neither could establish himself as a NHLer.

Grigorenko, if he's not in the NHL once his ELC his over, he's bolting to KHL imo.

And now that is why attitude will get you no where of success in the NHL.

Grigorenko is a complete whiner. He once complained how he didn't get an assist in the 2013 World Juniors.

Hogdson complained of not getting enough ice time and that he put downed a few of his teammates.

Marchand became the leagues most despised player, why? Because he's a nuisance on and off the ice.

Patrick Kelata...

anyways..

Firstly there is no evidence that Grigorenko will bolt to the KHL the moment the going gets tough. He has already spent a number of years in NA and if he really was going to bolt he had the perfect opportunity when he was sent down to the AHL. Its all hearsay and speculation which accompanies any Russian prospect regardless of whether they actually intend on going to the KHL or not.

Whining about an assist? That's your evidence for his attitude... If the IIHF was not so inept as to actually track things properly this would not happen. In any case this is quite a common occurrence in Europe where players have to approach the scorers in order to correct a mistake. Trust me I have watched enough hockey especially SHL to know this is not uncommon.

Patrick Kaleta and Cody Hodgson have nothing to do with Mikhail Grigorenko. In any case who exactly did Hodgson put down? In any case I don't want to make this a Hodgson thread.

Marchand is one of the best wingers on the Bruins and has some really good underlying stats. He drives possession and is a very solid player all around. He is a dirty POS but there is absolutely no evidence that he is a nuisance off the ice. I do agree that the guy is a nuisance on the ice but he plays the role of a pest fairly well. Despite the cheapshots and general stupidity he is a valuable asset.
