There are a couple videos of it on the link. -- Charges laid for Maple Leafs jersey thrown on ice Fans made their message heard at the ACC on Monday night, where three different fans tossed their Maple Leafs jerseys on the ice during play. SCOTT LEWIS JANUARY 20, 2015, 11:35 AM You can toss your hat on the ice to celebrate a hat trick, but don’t even think about throwing a jersey in protest of a team’s poor performance. Fans throwing jerseys on the ice has become an act all too familiar for the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs, who lost their fifth straight game on Monday night. Maple Leafs Sports & Entertainment confirmed on Tuesday that charges have been laid in the latest occurrence of disgruntled fans littering the ice at the Air Canada Centre. Three men have been charged for their actions and also face lifetime bans from the Air Canada Centre. Maple Leafs players expressed their frustration with fans throwing jerseys on the ice. Of particular worry for the players is the fact that last night’s incident saw jerseys thrown onto the ice during play. So tossing jerseys on the ice to express one’s disgust with the home team’s performance is certainly dangerous, and now it’s grounds for a brush with the law. Keep those shirts on your backs, folks. CALGARY!
Wow they can't toss a Jersey that they bought themselves onto a rink at a hockey game they paid to be at? Lame

TheRussianRocket.
It's not a lifetime ban, it's for 1 year. But anyways, that's a good thing for those 3 guys...don't have to go to that arena and watch $&!#.
desiboynux4lifee*******
Firing carlye was a mistake. The team was playing streaky under him, although outshot but streaky now they are extremely boring to watch. Also why the heck did they even fire Burke? He had a plan with the leaf team, it must suck being a fan. Leafs have a annoying fan base along with Calgary flame fans, thats why i despise these two teams. One team is losing it now im waiting for the flames to start choking, but hey they are playing well.

Fateless
Typical Toronto, blaming the fans. Maybe if they got a product on the ice that was worth the exorbent prices they charge people would stop throwing their jerseys on the ice. And as someone else stated, I think the fans should challenge the charges. The fact is that there is precedent for the arena allowing fans to throw things on the ice (hats) and they don't get to pick and choose what is thrown on the ice. If there is implied consent for throwing of hats, then they can't get angry when someone throws jerseys.

Neversummer
They should arrest and charge the whole front office for throwing jerseys on the ice and with lifeless bodies pretending to be hockey players in them. Guest Dasein
If they think this will stop fans from throwing jerseys LOL 1 year ban? Those guys probably threw with the intention of not coming back

It may be a bit contradictory to restrict freedom of expression in a public venue though.
Neversummer
I think it's classless for fans to throw jerseys down like that. In 95% of the time, I'd agree but in this case ... well deserved.
Apple Juice
lol lifetime ban from the ACC.. What if there's an artist or band that has a concert at the ACC and they want to go but can't because of that stupid ban? What then.

Junkyard Dog
In 95% of the time, I'd agree but in this case ... well deserved. They are lucky the only thing thrown on the ice was a few jerseys. With the performance as of late I am surprised that the ice hasn't been covered in garbage.
