IslanderForever
Hello all, this is my first post, and I signed up to the board so that I could do this for my lady. In past seasons, folks on this side of the water were able to participate in the "score and win" promo featured on all Canucks broadcasts (the TV ones). With the demise of Canada Safeway on the Island (thank you, Sobeys), Islanders are pretty much shut out of the chance to enter (and win). Funny thing is, we used to win our share, although personally, I never did. But during Canucks broadcasts, we would see and hear the names of fellow Victorians, Nanaimo-ites, etc, who had "swiped and won" at Canada Safeway It's a small thing, I know. Very small in terms of life as we know it, but still, it's a thing. The Canucks organization needs to pay the almost 400,000 Islanders over here a litte more attention when it comes to this kind of promo. If anyone knows where I can go to make this point more directly, I welcome suggestions (provided of course that they are anatomically possible). There, rant stated. If it's in the wrong place, I apologize. Cheers!
elvis15
Blame Safeway, not the Canucks.

Dral
So.... you want the Canucks to make Safeway keep their stores open on the Island?
Crackers
What do you want the Canucks to do?
tas
score and win is a perk that comes with spending your grocery dollars at safeway (sobeys). regardless of the reasoning for it, you're no longer giving safeway your money, so they no longer have any obligation to include you in their promotions. WilliesStache14
you get entered into the contest by swiping your card when you buy things at safeway there are no safeways on the island not complicated
Baggins
You're hooped. The promo is sponsored by Safeway so if you don't have any nearby it's just too bad. The Canucks certainly can't force their sponsors to open more stores.
avelanch
score and win has nothing to do with the canucks. it's safeway. canucks literally have nothing to do with it. Also Islanders can enter by scanning their air miles at a safeway in the mainland whenever they leave the island and their entry is good for 2 months. Also, you can enter via mail: 3. No purchase is required. Anyone fulfilling the conditions of Rule 8 can enter by sending their name, address, telephone number and AIR MILES® Collector Card number, with a label (or hand drawn facsimile) of any one Safeway $1,000,000 Score & Win Participating Product to: Safeway $1,000,000 Score & Win Contest P.O. Box 67050 Toronto, Ontario M4P 3C8 Limit one (1) entry per envelope. http://www.safewayscoreandwin.com/rules/score
VanIsleNuckFan
Haha, who cares, that Bulova watch or Vacuum Cleaner is always won by someone from Richmond anyway..
sleepy_nite
we have no Safeway's either....not a big deal. The only one I want to know how to register for is the one where if one player gets 5 goals....now that is worth signing for!!!
skeena1
If you actually paid attention to the broadcasts, you would see the Canucks have a special ticket offer for "Islanders". For something like 300 bucks you can get a lower bowl ticket and a return flight from Victoria. Maybe next time before you reach for the whine you might want to open your eyes.
