aqua59
Last nights game was a snore fest. In my eyes the effort was and heart was a close to zero as can be. Dorsett gets a cheep shot from Kesler and the push back was pathetic. Kassian, no discipline or thinking because of low IQ and Hansen just not thinking. that was it for team push back. Pathetic! I hear there was a meeting this morning amongst team members according to Hamhuis. I don't care what team is iced they have to try.
etsen3
Saying the team had no "effort" or "heart" is just a way to generalize the game and a way to avoid any real analysis of preparation/tactics/mental focus.
canuck73_3
Possibly a result of Bieksa not being in the lineup. I was very concerned when I saw so many negative posts towards Bieksa's injury, he brings leadership and toughness more so than anybody else. Imagine Bieksa Vs Kesler... Kesler doesn't throw that hit if Bieksa is in the lineup.
canuck73_3
The hit looked accidental IMO. If he tried to or not it doesn't matter, somebody needed to respond. Somebody needed to fire up our team anyway possible. Kesler is a spot picker he knew Vey was the closest player on the ice. He knew Dorsett was the toughest guy on the ice. You can't tell me a player of his caliber didn't know Dorsett was there, the chicken wing elbow going up proves that.
Crackers
Kesler doesn't throw that hit if Bieksa is in the lineup. What a dumb thing to say. Of course Kesler would've done the same thing even if Bieksa was in the lineup. The evidence is the previous 3 games we played against Anaheim. You can't tell me a player of his caliber didn't know Dorsett was there, the chicken wing elbow going up proves that. The head contact looked pretty unintentional to me. I didn't see any elbow either. Homer comment 100%.

God this homer bs pisses me off here watch the replay the elbow follow through comes up. No he didn't lead with the elbow but it came up. Kesler is a spot picker period end of story, has been his whole career.

canuck73_3
Really? He has never been suspended and besides the odd dive now and then I remember him being a fairly clean player for the most part, considering his style of play. Spot picker meaning he knows what he can get away with relative to who is on the ice for the opponents.
canuck73_3
He went after the toughest guy! thats not picking spots, for all he knew Dorsett could of skated away with no injury and gotten revenge later on. It's naive to say he did it on purpose, none of us know for sure if he did or not. Just gotta let it go lol clueless, he took out the toughest guy knowing Vey was "waiting" for him when Dorsett was down.

RonMexico
What is most concerning to me is the over reaction to every loss by the fanbase. Yeah they looked bad last night but so what. Still on pace for over 100 points and a playoff berth. The cup is half full to me.
canuck73_3
yah, he knew Dorsett was gonna get knocked out. Usually the case when you target the head. You're telling me an elite checking centre didn't know where an opposing player with the puck was? Please...
canuck73_3
Yeah he knew Dorsett would be hurt and unable to get up and fight back. Just the most unreal cheap shot artist of all time, right? Didn't realise Kesler was incabable of a dirty hit... My mistake. I'll just buy into the theory an elite checking centre did not no where the puck handler was, that's way more believable... Standing_Tall#37
We're an old, weak team. The best days of this group are behind them & I doubt they could beat any of the top 6 teams in a 7 game series. But I'm still a Canucks fan as I have been the last 26 years so I'll keep on watching. coastal1
Kesler doesn't throw that hit if Bieksa is in the lineup.Bieksa is the most feared player in the league. No one takes liberties with any Canuck when he is in the line up. Remeber the Bruins in the SCF, they didn't dare touch anyone, right?

That's a bold statement, who would have thought?

Remeber the Bruins in the SCF, they didn't dare touch anyone, right? Didn't know I was talking about the Bruins? I specifically said Kesler because Kesler is a spot picker. Did you see Bruins anywhere in the Kesler statements i made? Nice try though.

Remeber the Bruins in the SCF, they didn't dare touch anyone, right? You mean Bieksa's more feared than Chara or Weber? Wow, Bieksa must have grown a foot over the summer to get that title! The league agrees cause they arent doing anything about it. Its just one of those plays that happen all the time and we wouldnt be talking about it if Dorsett didnt go down. I feel bad for Dorsett but stuff happens. Its a fast game.
