ken kaniff
Vancouver: RW Jannik Hansen, C Brad Richardson Winnipeg: LW Adam Lowry, WIN 3rd '15 -Hansen is a very versatile player that can play up and down the lineup. solid 25-40pt player. Richardson has been an excellent 3rd line C this year for us. Both would give Winnipeg some great depth for their playoff push. -We get a young power forward and a replacement pick for the 3rd we gave up. -Allow some of the younger guys to step up. -Let Vey move back to center and call up Jensen see what they can do. Piggy Bank
I don't want no Lowry on this team.
orango
Is it fair value? I think so, so good job there. However I still wouldn't do it. Hansen plays with so much heart and intensity, I would hate to lose him
da.moose
No chance Winnipeg considers this. Lowry is a beast and a huge reason why the Jets have had so much success this season.
Monty
Yeah, I'm with moose on this one. Adam Lowry is currently playing 3rd line center minutes for the Jets in his first year in the NHL. He was a third round pick in 2011 for Winnipeg, and currently has 15 points in 48 games so far; he's also currently a +3. He's 6'4" and he certainly plays like he is. The chemistry that he and Kane have is also very impressive. And because he's only 21, he's on an entry level deal with the Jets that expires in two more years. Whereas, Jannik Hansen currently has 18 points this season with an annual cap hit of $2.5M for another 3 years. He's also 7 years older than Lowry. Then there's Richardson. And while his 19 points this season is certainly nothing to sneeze at, it's the fact that he's a UFA that I'm not too pleased with. More importantly, the idea would be that because he and Lowry both play center, Richardson would replace Lowry on the third line. And, I've got to be honest, the Jets third line with Lowry down the middle has been working like gangbusters. His frame, age, and contract make him a lot more enticing for the Jets down the middle than Richardson. In the end, the Jets say no to this. While it's true that "no player is untradeable", this doesn't mean that you wouldn't wouldn't have to overpay for a player. In this case, perhaps the Jets would trade Lowry for Richardson, but the additional player coming back would have to be an upcoming prospect from the Canucks, as there is no guarantee that a: Richardson re-signs with the Jets, or b. that the Jets would want to re-sign Richardson, depending on his play with them. hatedkid666
Fair value but I don't think both teams would do it
