Goat James
The Sabers have lost 14 games in a row, just three more losses until the league record of 17. Their schedule consists of Habs, St. Louis, Dallas and Islanders. Do you guys think they'll "make it".
Nuxfanabroad
Gonna shock Dallas to avert ignominy. Hackett with a 45 shot SO.

peaches5
While I was looking this up earlier today to see what the record was which I suspected was something like 17 games. I discovered that the Sharks lost 71 games in 1992; I'll let that sink in for a moment.. LOL

LOL wasnt that their debut season? that could probably be a write off, considering where they are now and havent folded. the sabres have been around as long as the canucks have and i dont think even in the canucks' worst years have sucked as much as buffalo does now
JeremyCuddles
St Louis or Dallas probably the likeliest to end their streak. My money is St Louis.

Riviera82
Buffalo's losing streak is especially "impressive" because this is the era of the loser point. They've lost 14 straight in regulation.
Odd.
They'll beat the record. At least you'll be happy seeing as that you will most likely get McDavid. UNLESS we miss the playoffs and with our 1% chance of getting first overall, we get it :D

UNLESS we miss the playoffs and with our 1% chance of getting first overall, we get it :D I'd settle for Eichel as a consolation prize. I just have a bad feeling that the Oilers are going to end up finishing, just ahead of the Sabres, in 29th place and then go on to win the lottery/McDavid. McDavid to Edmonton would not be good for the league.
Toews
Guaranteeing Eichel is the best benefit to finishing last. No team's odds are good at McDavid though so its kind of pointless to even make a prediction.

Robongo
I can't believe Bettman actually stood there during his interview yesterday and said with a straight face that there aren't any management teams purposely tanking What a comedian
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
man i seriously feel embaressed for the Buffalo fan base and the players there that are used to winning mentality like Gorges and Gionta.

It's part of the business, I guess. They're a young team and the fanbase is realistic about them. They're going to get a good pick and rebound. Still not sure why Gionta left a Stanley Cup contender in Montreal for a basement dweller in Buffalo.
theminister
Oh, they'll beat it. Only to have Toronto break their record in three weeks.
Ghostsof1915
I have a horrible feeling Toronto is going to win the Draft Lottery. Speaking of Buffalo, does anyone else think Tyler Myers is very overrated on this board? He did finish even in +/-, but he played over 6 minutes and I didn't even notice him.
