Smashville returns the favour and sings O Canada vs Leafs

Cool story out of Nashville where they handed the Leafs their 10th straight loss

Apparently back in November when Nashville came to town and destroyed the Leafs 9-2 on their home ice, there was a microphone malfunction during the singing of The Star-Spangled Banner before the game, and Leafs fans, not knowing the fate that they were about to witness, cheerfully sang the rest of the American anthem - nice gesture

Fast forward to this week, and Nashville fans return the favour and sing O Canada when the Leafs came to town

Classy move by the Toronto fans (never thought I'd say this) to finish the American anthem, and classy move by Nashville (as usual) to sing the Canadian anthem!

Have to say I'm happy that hockey is apparently succeeding in Nashville.

Yup me too... I didn't think they deserved a team before but boy was I wrong.

Their fans make more noise in 1 game than Vancouver fans do in 41.

Maybe if we didn't have security telling us to hush so the businessmen in the lower bowl can use their phones in peace and quiet Rogers Arena would have a better atmosphere.

Not a myth. Last game I was at the guy down and to the left of me was told to tone it down. Almost everyone around thought security was being a dick about it. I've also had experiences in the past that are similar and so have a tonne of other people.

Well, I don't get to go to many games because I'm a poor student and the last one I went to ended up costing 99 bucks for the worst seats in the building (not to mention ferry, hotel, food, etc). Every time someone made any kind of noise they were promptly spoken to by security, and one member of our group was kicked out of the arena because apparently he yelled something disparaging about the Red Wings.

Been trying to hit all the arenas in the league and Bridgestone was amazing. Fans gave us a hard time but were friendly and they get pumped up, good to see that type of passion in a not so traditional hockey market.

On the other hand to the people who say they are getting shushed at Rogers arena you've got to be absolutely belligerent before they say anything. I yell my head off, bash refs, attempt to drink as much as possible and have never had an usher/security tell me to cool it...upper or lower bowl. I've been a partial season ticket holder for 8yrs now (had uppers and lowers) and not once have been told to quiet down. If you're a moron and say something racist, sexist or just plain idiotic then I can't defend you getting kicked out.

MYTH--DEBUNKED
