hatedkid666
Let's say Henrik and Daniel retire at the age of 40, that is in 6 years. This will leave our captaincy open. So who will take Henrik's position as team leader? Our current leaders will be pretty old by then, and be retired or on their way out. Bieksa will be 39 Burrows will be 39 Hamhuis will be 38 Another notable is: Edler at 34 Tanev at 31 Then we have our youth that will be entering their prime: Horvat at 25 Virtanen at 24 McCann at 24 Corrado at 27 Clendening at 28 Personally I picked Horvat. He has the leadership skills and will be entering his prime, so he will be able to be our captain for a long time.
Outsiders
Horvat or Virtanen either would be great choices. If I personally had to pick it would probably be Horvat, natural born leader However people could make a argument that Virtanen should cause he is a guy others would look up to in the dressing room and can fire guys up - ex. MJDDawg
They're not going to be here when they hit 40. None of that old core will be here by then, including Edler and Tanev. And I'm really not sure which of the young guns will be ready for it in 3 or 4 years. I'm kind of leaning towards Horvat. He just seems like captain material to me. Boudrias
If the Twins are still playing for Van at 40 it won't make any dif who is captain. Worse case scenario they play here to the end of their contract which I doubt as well. Horvat would be too young. I would pick a Richardson or Dorset. Responsible players Their tenure would transition to the younger core.
