Whatever happened to Victor Oreskovich?

After 2010-2011 so many players magically went off this team.

Oreo went into insurance work

Tambellini went to the swiss league (was shocked with this one considering he had a spot on his hometown team and was respected among the fans, he was like a good luck charm we had like a decent record with him in the line-up)

With the exception of Raymond, the rest went south of the border to different teams.

To think we only have 9 players left from that team. Back then I certainly wouldn't have expected Hansen, Higgins, and Tanev to stay on the team longer than Kesler, AV, and both Lu and Schneider.

As for Oreo, it's a shame when a player has the tools to be an NHLer and just doesn't have it in his heart. Hope he's enjoying his career in insurance.

He's well educated and has a good job that probably pays a decent amount of cash and will set himself up well for the future. Maybe not as glamorous as the NHL but he's still doing better than most people and if he plays his cards right he could easily make more money than he would have as an AHL grinder.

You guys make it sound like he's a street hooker ;)

You could also add that he would be far less likely getting a concussion in his new profession. :)

Lee Sweatt did the same thing. He retired to become a financial advisor, being he would make more money than playing in the AHL.

Its common for Hockey players to become financial advisors, mortgage brokers and real estate agents. For example Jesse Fibiger, or Andy Rogers ... Both work in real estate in Victoria BC.
