Lui's Knob
HNIC they talked about swagger and how the leafs had and then lost it. Is his team suffering from no swagger? Kesler carried swagger, Luongo used to carry it, burrows used to have it, now the earlier 2 are gone and nobody has it or seen it on ice in a long time (since 2010/11?)? Benning would be familiar with swagger. Boston oozed it out their pores and debatably helped them win the SCF (Lucic, reechi, Thomas, chara, boychuk, Marchand). Point is the canucks' on ice performance a having a no players with swagger outside maybe Dorsett contributes to why the team has the record they do this year and the last 2 seasons? c00kies
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers had/have lots of swagger too...it's not necessarily a good thing. Confidence on the other hand...
Toni Zamboni
i wonder which player(s) is the vocal leader in the room right now. i would think bieksa is one of them when he is healthy, but who else?

hlinkas wrister
Cherry called it swagger, I would call it confidence. The only team I would say ever exuded "swagger" was the Oilers in the 80's. His example of the Leafs from 2 years ago having "swagger" was kind of silly imo. They certainly are softer now though, as are the Canucks. BMorrison 7
The sedins don't come across as people who pump you up before a game, they remind of these boring robots. I have nothing but respect for the sedins and what they have done for this franchise but until they retire and we have new leaders on this team we will not have to much swag. The only person I can think of having it to get us going is Bieksa, and maybe Burrows but not so much.

You don't need some guy yelling at you to install passion in order to win. It's an attitude that's brought to the ice. A work ethic that continues even when the game is done. The Sedin's brought us a game away from the Cup or did you forget that already? We could have Sidney Crosby and Malkin on our team and we'd still be where we're at. Want to know why? Because past our star two players only Vrbata is playing at a level to be in our top 6.

This topic just contains verbal diarrhea narrative, and nothing of any actual substance. Or as I like to call it, writing a topic for the sake of writing a topic. I don't the team or any player show that. ebonics is black talk, not 'cheap'. a semi-colon isn't used in that way ″it's confidence in play and emotional/motivational″ isn't a sentence. neither is ″i don't the team or any player show that″ your post is worse english than google translate. Quoted
The way some use swagger (say back in the west coast express days), that comes from winning and the confidence it builds: when you walk into the rink and know the other team is doomed even before the pre-game skate. No winning, no swagger. So...no and they are a longs ways from gettting it back (it takes more than a good game or pep talk to create for real). desiboynux4lifee*******
Seen enough, let's not make this lack of scoring or lack of heart due to Bieksa, . This team goes into this turtle mode around this time. The reason, they simply need to start making those moves and getting rid of the core. When the team had Bieksa, how much different did they perform? Oh, I just know, fans will blame this lack of heart on the loss of Bieksa lol
