desiboynux4lifee*******
After seeing the proposed offer by Canucks, I get a feeling, Tanev will not be resigned by the Canucks. Also, thanks to the pundits at TSN, we now know what Benning will give up at the deadline. Kassian, Mcann, Tanev will be on the block come deadline day. I feel Canucks should look at trading Tanev to Detroit as its the best possible return.I also feel, if the right offer is there Benning will look at trading away the 2015 first for a more ready prospect. Realistically this team will be willing to trade these players. Eddie Lack Kassian Tanev Mcann and of course a 1st rounder, regardless of what Benning says, the first rounder will be dangled at the deadline day to find a more ready prospect. Remember guys, its retool not rebuild, and this kind of scares me. Thank you clowns at TSN, now we have a basic idea of what Benning will be willing to trade at the deadline. Brace yourself guys, Bennings true test will begin on deadline day because the Kesler trade is looking stale compared to what Jets got.
The Analyst
Kesler deal isn't the same. Kane is 23 years young and has more than a decade of hockey left in him, kesler... 3-5 year and that's pushing it. Kesler also handcuffed Benning in terms of destination. Roflcawptur
Why would we trade McCann? Benning was stoked to get him and he fits the meat and potatoes type he was looking at.
RonMexico
Everything that Benning allegedly has to do is a test to you.

Realistically benning will be willing to trade whatever he has to to improve this club. rest assured McCaan will NOT be part of that package unless it's to move WAY up in this draft. Also bennings only real test is actually getting serious value for the vets he'll have to trade out for contract spots should the Nucks keep sliding. Please don't quote TSN in regards to offers or value for offers. Like ever...they're allowing Dreger to shill Clarkson as though a team would be lucky to trade for him. So...don't quote TSN in regards to trade value unless you want to be ridiculed. No other network has a daily trade story that contradicts yesterdays trade story 3 months before the trade deadline
Zuongo
Just because they 'may' have been offered in that trade, doesn't mean they are all on the trade block at all. God some people are so think on this board. Don't compare it to the Kesler trade, means nothing. Benning is going to be Tested? Please don't be so dramatic. MovesLikeDatsyuk
How can you compare the Kane trade to Kesler trade???? Kane is Young and can only get better. Kesler is older and in his prime. Plus Kesler handcuffed the team by giving a list of 2 teams... Like where is the logic...

CRAZY_4_NAZZY
he was in the kane offer, so what does that tell you? Tyler Horsfall @TheFlopFish · 3m3 minutes ago Through a few tweets, apparently Canucks needed to give up Kassian, McCann, Tanev, and a 1st for Kane and Bogosian… 0 replies0 retweets0 favorites Reply Retweet Favorite Pretty sure this tweet you probably saw am I right? I wouldn't trust this guy... 1) "through a few tweets" ?? From who? Pretty sure that is his own assumption and guess what the deal would have been 2) who the heck is this guy? 3) Benning is thrilled to have McCann and just recently he went to travel and watch him and had nothing but good things to say about him. McCann is Benning's guy, it would take a lot more to sway him to move Jared 4) TSN might have suggested McCann would be in the deal but thats total crap. TSN is throwing out crap from just about anywhere. Yesterday they suggested from Botchford's blog that the Canucks should trade Horvat and Virtanen to get Kane. TSN is bunch of crap now Check the source, take everything with a grain of salt because there are a lot of wannabe hockey analysts that make up total false accusations and statements especially during the trade deadline

In fact, it basically implies that Benning was not willing to trade those pieces. Interesting to know what the asking price was though, if this rumour has any merit.
