Bo!
Should JB try and pick up Jaromir Jagr? I dont believe he would come at a high cost. Yeah, he would like to play for a cotender but seeing him alongside the Sedin's on a powerplay would be an absolute thing of beauty. He wouldn't give us much speed but he could mentor a guy like Kassian, show him how to utilize that big body. something like Higgins + mid level prospect + late pick? Thoughts? AriGold
The gap between the Canucks and Ducks, Preds, Hawks and Blues is alot bigger then Jagr. This would essentially be a Derek Roy deal all over again and to that I say NO THANK YOU. Let's just play out the next 3 years, get our mid level picks then take a real look at our team and what we have.
Tom Sestito
I've heard all players can play til they're 48 like Chelios. We should get him.
coastal.view
i personally have always wanted to see jagr play with the sedins but he is so clearly a rental player if we could get him for a 4th round pick i'd be interested but there is no way we could fit him under the cap maybe new jersey would want one of our young defenders for him (sbisa?) and retain some salary on jagr but i think jersey would get a better offer for him perhaps from anaheim

Odd.
We ain't a contender. There is a rumor at the moment that he wants to be traded to a contender. http://www.si.com/nhl/2015/02/10/new-jersey-devils-jaromir-jagr-trade-rumors We want to get younger, especially on the top 6. Our top 6 without Bonino included, is 32 and over.
AriGold
Jagr>>>>>> Roy tho Hmm I guess my point got missed, might be my fault. My point was that Jagr will come here for 20 regular season games, then 4 playoff games, Canucks are eliminated and Jagr goes back East next year. We get nothing out of Higgins, our prospect and a late pick. The Canucks need to sit tight this season and ride it out. I'm down for hockey trades but not a rental trade. Lancaster
To push us further in the playoffs, yes. To help us to only make the playoffs, no.
Hunter.S-Kerouac
Jags would be great but not at the cost of Higgins ++. The Devils need him to sell tix more than we need him. He won't be the piece that brings us the cup, if he should go anywhere it's somewhere he put's them over the top or just stay put.
bigbadcanucks
If Jagr is the best JB can do as far as an acquisition at the deadline, I'm all for standing pat. Lets face it, it's going to be a struggle to make the playoffs if the Canucks continue on their win one - lose one trend. 91 points is what that amounts to, and IMO, that's going to get it done. Do you honestly think Jagr will allow the Canucks to be 2 games above .500 from March 2nd on? Highly doubtful.
