the last outlaw
That's a pretty big coup for Victoria. Tickets cost 200. It's actually cheaper then when people in Victoria used to take the ferry over and buy tickets to see Aerosmith in Vancouver. 200 is a good deal. One of the biggest American rock bands in history will bring its flamboyant brand of arena rock revelry to the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre this summer. Aerosmith, the Grammy-winning hitmakers behind Sweet Emotion, Walk This Way, and Dude (Looks Like a Lady), will make their Victoria debut on July 16. The Boston-bred group, led by former American Idol judge Steven Tyler, is celebrating its 45th year as an entity this year. A release date for new music from the band, however, has not yet been announced. No opening act for its upcoming Victoria date has been named. The group toured North America in 2014 with rocker Lenny Kravitz. Tickets for the July 16 performance go on sale Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $199.50 (plus convenience fees) at selectyourtickets.com, the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre box office (1925 Blanshard St.), or by phone at 250-220-7777. Victoria gets all the retirement tours these days: Bob Dylan, Mark Knopfler, Elton John, Prince, Leonard Cohen $200 for aerosmith is outrageous. Ghostsof1915
$200? Ouch. I paid that for The Police but worth every penny.

Green Building
I didn't like the sound the last time I was in the Save-On-Foods Center. $200 is pretty steep for the old farts. I would really like to go see them, but probably won't do it at that price. $200? Ouch. I paid that for The Police but worth every penny. That was a sick show. Very worth it. I bet Aerosmith could come close, but Steven Tyler can't sing like he used to and since he has such a unique style it's much harder to pull off than the way Sting sings. Blackberries
I like aerosmith alot....but not for that price. I think my money would be better spent on ACDC
Offensive Threat
I saw Aerosmith a few times in Vancouver back when I lived in Victoria. The Memorial Arena was too small back when I lived there to get this level of act. Think it held maybe 1500 people back then. The newer Memorial center holds over 7000 so you can get guys like Elton John to show up. But still $200 a ticket. Seems steep. Think last time was on their Permanent Vacation tour. They were really good but that was in 1988. lot can change in 27 years.
