Mcfly
These are two of the classiest guys in the history of the NHL. Every time I hear one of them speak I'm always impressed with what they say and how they steer around the BS that people dole out to them. Having said that, they are definitely on the decline of their careers and are barely worthy of first line status anymore. They only missed points on last game. They've played well despite everything this season. If anything, they showed they could still produce this season. If they were sour after last season, everyone would be calling for their heads already. My question is, how much do umber 1 players have to produce in order to have fans back them up properly. Point a game? 2 points? 2 goals? Hatty a night? They are top 20 in the league or points aren't they? No doubt our teams most consistent point-getters. How often should our number ones scorers be scoring in your mind, is the real question. If you like them so much, why bother making another thread focusing on their future exit out of town. I don't know about you guys, but I don't expect Crosby or Ovechkin numbers out of the brothers as much... heck, 86 and 8 aren't getting younger either. I'd like to think we won't have them at some point and they'll be shipped off to play in New York or something before retirement. There's no doubt. But if these guys are scoring and ad providing entertaining hockey, I don't see why we need another "what can we get for these guys" thread. I say support them until the end instead of licking our chops on what we might get on their return.
Me_
I hope they stay here and not pull a Iggy/Kesler/Hossa/many others. I hope we win a cup whilst they are still playing - they deserve it. They may eventually be our second line - but that would still be great. LUCIC - HORVAT - KASSIAN D. SEDIN - H. SEDIN - JENSEN

oldnews
Leafsboi makes too many redundant, troll threads. Bet you wish you had one of those rewinder thingies right about now, and could go back to the point before you re-signed Kessel and Phaneuf lol. Lots going on in your backyard. In typical Leafs fashion you're obsessing over the Canucks while your backyard is littered with dog bombs.

HerrDrFunk
Having said that, they are definitely on the decline of their careers and are barely worthy of first line status anymore. You should look up the point totals of other first liners around the league. It'll help prevent you from looking like your talking out of your ass in the future. Boudrias
I want a CUP. If that means the Twins move on then so be it. No player is bigger than the org. No matter whether they stay or go the entire top 6 has to be replaced over the next 3 years. There is no doubt that the Twins sweaters will be deservedly in the rafters in Van. I would hope that the Twins would want one more shot at a CUP and that will not happen in Vancouver during their careers. Contrary to many the Van depth is not deep enough. All the draft picks over the past 3 years will not be NHL top 6 players. The number of players who have left Van with no return to the Canucks is brutal. I won't go beyond Naslund. IMHO wanting to capitalize on the Twin's remaining value by a realistic assessment of the club and the Twin's closing years is not disrespecting their careers in Van. panelguy
They still have an important role to play for the Canucks for a few seasons to come but it's evident they are in their twilight which happens to all of us.That's no disrespect to the Sedins but just reality. We Are All Cynics
I'm sick of these threads. THE SEDINS AREN'T GOING ANYWHERE!!! Period! I'd rather watch them play in Canucks sweaters until they retire than follow these stupid suggestions of getting some value for them that won't amount to anything and sure as hell not a Cup. They were drafted by the Canucks and they are going to retire as Canucks. Anyone who thinks otherwise can go pound sand because it's not going to happen. End of story! Quoted
It would be great to see them retire in Vancouver if that is in the cards. That is separate from which line they are on though. I think it is a given that they will drop down over time. Right now, though, if they aren't the first line, who is?

Adamth
As i said before- until the Sedins get blood hungry and get conditioning to learn to SCORE - we wont get the cup. I believe trever linden will have other ideas --- BUT ITS EMBARRASSING FOR THE Sedins to win a cup on the other team. only to Retire as canucks lol @ that. Makes me wonder still- Will the Sedins EVER bring the CUP if conditioning might be the answer- old vets means nothing. THE PAST will stay in the Past. Tiger-Hearted
Henrik now needs 12 more assists for 700 and 10 more points for 900. Will he reach those milestones by the time the club finish their upcoming 5-game Eastern road trip?
nuck nit
Will Benning be capable enough to amass enough scoring talent for the twins to have another deep playoff run? Let's hope he sees that as the goal and desire as do most Canucks fans.

Like the honored Canucks they are... Oh you mean just like Trevor Linden? Or Marcus Naslund? Oh that's right, both captains were shipped out on their final couple seasons. Though i dont doubt that Trevor will have things differently this time, I'm not going to say "never" because of the nature of the business/ fans/ owners. -Short term memory. Sometimes it's just about money. I could see them leaving Van for a couple years to play as a veteran presence. These guys aren't built on their speed, and could have prolonged careers if their minds are sharp and their bodies not too beat down. Can't rule out the possibilities.
