Among 19 yr old rookies, Bo is #3 in scoring

Most of the 'Rookies' who are leading the Rookie scoring race are 22/23/24

Only Aaron Ekblad and Jonathan Drouin are 19 year olds who have more points than Bo.

Filip Forsberg is a definite sensation, this guy is 20 and he does have bigtime talent.

Of those, in my opinion, either Forsberg or Ekblad should get the Calder.

But the fact Bo is only 19, and the fact he is coming on as the season progresses, tells you just how good he is going to be. He isn't going to win the Calder, but what he learns this season is going to be multiplied in future seasons.

All upside as far as I can see.

Kind of a specific category, 19-year old rookies.

Did you know, that among Swedish centremen who were born in 1980, Henrik is 1st All-Time in points?

But seriously, Bo the Ox is performing extremely well and I'm starting to get mega excited for him.

That gaudreau kid should have some good consideration. for the calder hes 21 but a steal of a pick at 104.dont like the douchey nickname though

Dito that!! Forsberg may have more points (right now at least) but Johnny Hockey is a pure pleasure to watch, and is definitely a contender to the Calder, and so is John Klingberg of the Stars. Watch him play and you'll understand why! He's not only putting up points after points, but he scores some spectacular goals and "flies" over the ice.

I think these four will battle for the Calder. (Hockey, Forsberg, Klingberg and Ekblad.)

What is noteworthy is that in the entire NHL there are only 7 guys under 20 who have played 30 or more games, and that includes Draisatl, who has been returned to Junior. That is pretty select company and most of those guys are likely to be stars or close to it.

At first I thought Bo was not really good enough to be in the NHL at age 19.But I was wrong. He has improved remarkably over the season and certainly deserves to be in the NHL now.

A lot of people thought he would move up to #3 on the depth chart for center for next year. By I have him ahead of Richardson already this year (and who knows when Richardson comes back). I thought his ceiling might as a very good 3C who plays shutdown and PK. But I now think I underestimated him. My new estimate has him as 2C next year. That moves Bonino down to 3C, where I think he fits better. Vey moves to the wing (and so does Matthias if he is re-signed). And Richardson, if he is re-signed, moves to 4C.
