Bure_Pavel
To Carolina: kassian, McNally, 5th in 2015 To Vancouver: Jiri Tlusty Tlusty is still pretty young at 26 and can slot into the top six to provide some extra goal scoring
elvis15
Tlusty isn't that great to give up all that.
Bure_Pavel
In his lockout year he had 38 points in 48 games and was on pace for almost 40 goals in a full 82 game season, his point totals might just be the product of an under performing Carolina team. tyhee
Tlusty's contract expires this summer and he'll be an UFA. If Canucks re-signed him they'd likely have to make some other move to make next year's cap. If they didn't, they'd have just given up a player, prospect and pick for a rental. I don't mind the proposal based on value of players, but wouldn't be buying a rental for younger assets in the Canucks situation.
Lindizzy123
Tlusty isn't that great to give up all that. Mcnally is never going to see the Nhl he has zero value so.... I would not say all that. 5th round pick is a 5th round pick. Kassian is looking like he is not going to make it in the nhl either. Its more of a sideways move more than anything. Jiri is a slightly better player than kassian right now. Jiri has averaged around 15 goals a year the last 5 and one 20 plus goal season. His cap hit is almost 3 million so its hard to say if I would make that trade, but the notion that we are giving up "all that" is crazy Canuck fanboy crap! hatedkid666
Maybe Higgins +4th For Tlusty But you're overselling him
Bure_Pavel
Obviously it matters where the canucks sit in the standings come trade deadline but if they are serious about taking a go at the cup while the Sedins are still elite players, he is the closest thing to a top six forward we could get without selling the farm. I can see him having good chemistry with a playmaking center like bonino and if we signed him for 3.5-4 million for three year extension could be nice. Monty
Can we just stop with the tinkering, please?
Bure_Pavel
Our top six wont get it done so you have to trade for one or wait 2-3 years for one to develop, nothing wrong with a little tinkering!
Canuck Surfer
I'll be happy to look at signing Tlusty in the off season a 1st, 2knd or 3rd line winger. Up to him which spot he earns? Not trading Kassian for him. If we made a trade, and I would prefer a hockey trade not rental, it would be for a D man all things considered! Bure_Pavel
It's might help sign him for cheaper if he plays here, sees how nice it is, and plays his first nhl playoff game here. Plus he might have chemistry with his fellow Czech Vrbata.
