48MPHSlapShot
A big fat NO on Cole. I might take a swing at MDZ for the right price, but it's a risk.
86Viking
according to nhlnumbers del zotto is still an rfa at seasons end. Would be a great addition to help out our PP. He is a pure offensive D man, not good in his own end, but we could play him with a solid tanev. Edler should hold his own being away from tanev, maybe paired with clendening. Allowing hammer and juice to reunite. Del zotto should be cheaper to resign than sbisa qualifying offer. sbisa/stanton grenier for mdz resign mdz 2-3yrs cap hit of 1.9m per 21pts in 46gp this year not bad He would be top scoring D on our team. Cheap option for offense from the back end imo.
Carl's Jn
No thank you to Erik Cole. Washed up. Del Zotto is interesting but that'll create an even bigger logjam on D lol really logjam on D.... we need D. and he would be better than the likes of stanton, weber, and isbisa

Boudrias
No and No. Sbisa looks better with more TOI. I like his upside. Played a stronger game last night than Hamhuis did.
JeremyCuddles
Please.. Tanev didn't do anything for Edler Forgetting last year eh? That's fine.
Guest Dasein
Forgetting last year eh? That's fine. Forgetting all the years before that eh? That's fine too Last year was an anomaly in Edler's career in the big picture - he was more dominant in years prior without Tanev
oldnews
No and no. Cole is a flat out no, and if this team were to move HIggins, they could do better than Cole. MDZ is not intriguing, and the idea of dealing Sbisa for him is a horrible idea. The blueline is enough of an undersized finesse back end without taking Sbisa out of the mix and introducing a Del Zotto - who needs sheltering - but if you're sheltering him, then he's not playing with the guys whose games we'd want to be enhancing. I like the Clendening addition more - I think he'll prove to be a more solid two way puck mover. Imo there are better options than MDZ, and probably teams more wiling to move those options than Philly should be where MDZ is concerned.
Gurn
If Cole were a few years younger, and Kassian would try to imitate then yes, however Cole is not a few years younger nor signed for an extra year.
Hugor Hill
These stupid trade rumours with Cole and MDZ and now flipping Bergenheim make me nervous. Hope none of them happens.

Ronalds.Kenins41
tbh I wouldn't mind if stayed pat at the deadline or just traded for a draft pick or something. We barely have any cap space.

That's fine too Last year was an anomaly in Edler's career in the big picture - he was more dominant in years prior without Tanev His resurgence is due to Tanev. Last year wasn't the first year he did less than stellar. He's been trending down ever since Erhoff left.

No it is not - his resurgence is largely due to the coaching staff and system It would be ignorant to say that Tanev had no role, as he is his partner after all, but we're talking proportions - and Tanev's role is very little in comparison to the other factors that has led to Edler's resurgence Edler will continue to play well even if he doesn't have Tanev

DownUndaCanuck
I wanted Del Zotto in the off-season. 24, puts up points and for a defene that struggles to score, he would have been a nice fit. Edler - Tanev Hamhuis - Clendening Del Zotto - Sbisa

NEON.KNEE
No thank you to underachiever Del Zotto with serious character issues http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Hockey/2014/11/07/22058821.html There are more detailed stories about the events, and he was basically stalking porn stars...weirdo
