J.I.A.H.N
I don't think the Miller trade goes down.......but I could see the other ones being looked at,
Hunter_74
Are you asking if we would make these trades (if we were the GM)? or if these trades are plausible?
deadendpath
I'd trade for Madison Bowey in a heartbeat. Kid is going to be a beauty.

Mathew Barzal
I'd take all of em TBH. a) Miller isn't part of our future. Hamhuis still a top pairing defender but is on the wrong side of 30, Despres is a solid young D to replace him. He's physical, can move the puck like Hammer, and is adept in his own zone. c) Matthias is a pending UFA who is going to get PAID this off-season (two picks for him is overkill, so hell yes to that) d) Losing Cassels will suck and Kassian still has major upside, but Bowey is in another tier. Take that and run. e) Richardson is already looking expendable with Horvat, Vey, Bonino on the roster. Gaunce and McCann will soon be clipping at their heels as well. Our future would look a WHOLE lot better if we could pull these off in some fantasy dream world.
manroth19
Miller wont get traded in the division or prolly at all the islanders trade does make sense as they need a centre but without a first this year i doubt they give up their second so they'd be more inclined to a prospect I'd day. The capitals trade i like but i doubt we get a pick as well
Bure.10
I would definitely do the bowey trade. Other trades I'd make are: Higgins to MTL for a 2nd Hansen to WPG for a 2nd Bieksa to DET for a 1st. I'd like to keep Matthias and re-sign him. He's an ideal 3rd line player that you need esp in the playoffs.
thejazz97
I can see the San Jose trade happening if the pick is lottery-protected. You wouldn't want to be giving up McDavid for Ryan Miller.

We need the cap space and can't afford to let him walk.

They already have 2 first round picks and are in desperate need of a top 9 fwd, especially with Perreault out now. With the money we save on Higgins, Bieksa and Hansen, we'll be able to afford Matthias.
thejazz97
Okay, I'll take that. Phone Benning and Cheveldayoff. We need to get this going.

I'd rather use the money on Tanev or just keep it for a rainy day, bring Horvat in as 3rd line, and bring Gaunce in as 4th. Does that make any sense? Does that make any sense? Ya I wanna see a couple of the young guys make the team next year aswell. I hope Gaunce makes it. Personally, I would give every opportunity to horvat to be the 2nd line guy and maybe move bonino to the wing? I think if we trade Bieksa, Hansen, Higgins and with the cap going up 2-3 mill next year, we can obtain both Matthias and Tanev. He's a great player, and he's got 20 points, which for a rookie being rotated is quite decent, but he just doesn't fit. If there's one rookie to be traded, I'm guessing it's him. Also, I think Kassian might be out by draft day. I'd hate to see him go, but I feel that there's going to be someone that offers something Benning can't refuse. But dat 3rd line doe. Bure.10
Virtanen's not eligible for the AHL. HA! You're right, he's only going to be 19 when next season starts. That sucks cause there's no need for him to play another year of junior, which means he'll probably be in the NHL. Hope it doesn't have a negative affect on his development
