thejazz97
According to Tom Gulitti ( BUF, CHI, DAL, WPG, PIT, PHI, MTL, STL had scouts at the VAN-NJ game. Nothing too much to worry about, but Vancouver had a scout at the latest STL-DAL game too. Could there be a trade in the works? Maybe it would look something like this: STL: Jaden Schwartz VAN: Zack Kassian Shawn Matthias (Add if needed) Jaden Schwartz has that offensive upside in a Top 2 RW that the Canucks need right now, and Matthias and Kassian bring the grit and scoring capacity St. Louis needs to make a long playoff run. Magikal
St.Louis would decline. Benning would be given the status of Hockey God if he pulled that off. Schwartz is going to be an even better player as time goes on.
DownUndaCanuck
Could it be for one of these guys? Jaskin - 21 year old, big strong Russian right winger, now has 9 goals in 31 games this season Stastny/Berglund/Lehtera - 3 centers fighting for the middle-2 center spots on a packed St Louis team Carl Gunnarson - with Shattenkirk and Peitrangelo eating up big minutes, and Jackman/Bouwmeester playing top-4 minutes as well, one of those 5 may be expendable and Gunnarson may be the odd man out. Still is a fantastic #5 guy for St. Louis though. The same could be said for Ian Cole (26 years old). If Benning needs a quick band-aid fix for our defence who can help in the future, he should target Cole. Cole's getting bottom pairing minutes right now, despite being 26 years old, putting up 4 goals and 4 assists in 51 games and being a former 1st round pick. Gunnarson is another option but he's 2 years older. Both are quite big defencemen on the left-hand side and could be a quick replacement for Edler. St Louis are pretty perfect right now but they could always use more scoring depth. TO STL: Chris Higgins TO VAN: Ian Cole However, if Benning wants some future, big talent and is considering moving Kassian, Jaskin is really impressing everyone at the moment. Asking price might be high, and he'd have to move Kassian or we'd have a log-jam of right wingers (Vey, Vbrata, Kassian, Virtanen, Jaskin) but I'm sure he could be had for an A-grade prospect or current roster player + good pick. St. Louis don't have much room up front, so Jaskin might be expendable. TO STL: Chris Higgins (replaces Jaskin's production now) + 2nd round pick TO VAN: Jaskin + 4th round pick
jstewboy
Schwartz would look excellent in a Canucks jersey... I think he is damn near untouchable though.

Likely, but if Benning sweetened the pot just enough, I think a deal could happen
Ryan Strome
The blues would never accept that.
underrated
That is not even half the value of what Schwartz would cost. A 22 year old almost elite player already. Wow
