There has been lots of speculation in Finnish media especially (http://www.iltasanomat.fi/khl/art-1424362465108.html) about him being NHL bound. Steve is a good goalscorer, broke KHL season record for goals scored this season. Excellent skater, good shot, nice hands. Only downside is size. Which teams would suit him and who would you like to see him play with? Really? 36 goals is a record in the K? Really? I don't believe you. Spoosh Posted February 24, 2015 Share Posted February 24, 2015 free players are good to get so I'd take him 2 years two way deal and see what he is about at training camp,then if he doesn't fit minors he goes,can always trade him after that! He has stated he won't sign a 2-way deal. He wants to be in the NHL. He'll get considerably much less money coming over here vs. staying in the KHL. He want's an NHL deal or no go. High hopes maybe, but I understand where he's coming from with that. NHL is his dream, if he can't achieve it now then he'll go make some more money in the KHL...
