[REPORT] 6 Possible players Canucks may be interested in

lol please. That's such crap. Raymond doesn't even play here anymore, first of all. Secondly, every team wants Kyle Wellfed, so including him in the deal is a must.

Man, do you remember when Kyle Wellwood was the future of the Leafs franchise, and people thought Toronto would never part with him? Sucks for them, but at least we drafted Hodgson to be our future captain.

Benning must be kicking tyers about most available players just for the heck of it, and most of these guys would cost us picks/prime prospects so are pretty unrealistic, but Yandle would be fantastic in Vancouver.

TO VAN: Keith Yandle

TO ARI: Higgins, Sbisa and Cassels/McCann

The Canucks need to move the vet Higgins for younger kids to take up top 6 minutes. Sbisa is expendable with Yandle coming in, and one of Cassels or McCann are expendablr considering how well Horvat, Matthias and even Gaunce are playing right now.

Arizona does this because they're set for a top-3 pick (may get a good shot at Hanifin if the big top 2 centers are gone) who would replace Yandle in almost a year. Sbisa fills some of his minutes until then and is still young enough so good for a rebuild, and they get a gritty two way center to play behind Max Domi.

Most stars cost teams a current roster player, a good young player and an A/B grade prospect or 1st rounder.

Yandle would replace Edlers minutes and bring good offence instantly, and when our defencemen return from injury here's our full defence (suddenly one of the best in the NHL):

Edler - Tanev

Yandle - Bieksa

Hamhuis - Clendening

Stanton - Corrado

And then swapped him for the next Cam Neely who turned out to be a slightly better version of Shawn Antoski.

No to trading McCann, he could turn out to be our 1c in the future, every day hes looking better and better

This is such a generic list, don't exactly know how this is a report. Should be titled 'Players any GM would be interested in', I'm sure we would have some interest in majority of them, realistically none are happening.

If we made a move similar to what Nashville did to Toronto, we'd become overnight cup contenders.

Somehow pry Yandle + Vermette, or Sekera + Tlusty out of their respective teams and we'd be looking pretty good come playoff time.

TO VAN: Yandle + Vermette

TO ARI: Higgins + Sbisa + McCann + 1st round pick

Sedin - Sedin - Vbrata

Vermette - Bonino - Burrows

Richardson - Matthias - Vey

Kenins - Horvat - Hansen

Kassian

Yandle - Tanev

Edler - Bieksa

Hamhuis - Corrado

Stanton/Clendening

TO VAN: Sekera + Tlusty

TO CAR: Markstrom + McCann

Sedin - Sedin - Vbrata

Tlusty - Bonino - Burrows

Higgins - Matthias - Vey

Richardson - Horvat - Hansen

Kassian/Kenins

Edler - Tanev

Hamhuis - Bieksa

Sekera - Sbisa

Stanton/Corrado/Clendening

Tlusty is doable and his salary is within bounds for the Canucks. I also like Stewart who is the type of tough gritty player who might show up well in the playoffs.

However unless it was a deal that only involved vets or players we didn't want (those seem to becoming fewer by the day) then I would just stick with the boys we have and who knows it might be enough for a decent run.

You must be mad giving up McCann and Sbisa. Sbisa will be a beast for us in the playoffs the longer he progresses in the team and McCann is pure aggressive talent who after a year under our coaches in Utica will be a huge player in this team.

Yandle is the only interesting name. Absolutely not willing to give up youth for any of them. Free Agency is a wonderful thing. Vrbata will hit career point highs this season so the flags are flying high.

Fans seem quick to trade Sbisa as they were with Edler last year. Sbisa is still a young dman and shows solid progress most games. No matter how you twist the current roster they are not a serious CUP contender. Making a desperate trade to change that is just that desperate.
