Bobby_Lu1ngo
So maybe this tells us what we could expect for a guy like richardson, dorsett or matthias. Maybe a late 2nd for matthias
Dion Phaneuf
It's a fair deal. Bergenheim is your typical bottom six forward but on a larger cap hit, a 3rd rounder makes sense. Didn't expect Minnesota to trade for him with lots of forwards already in their system but he'll fit right in.

Bobby_Lu1ngo
HELL NO. Matthias>>>>Taking a Chance on a Draft Pick. I didnt say we should make the trade. Just saying that this shows the going rate for those thinking we should deal those guys.
oldnews
Reasonable rental price for a guy like Bergenheim - particularly after he came out wanting/expecting to be dealt.

Mike Vanderhoek
Nice deal for Minnesota, can be a good piece for their bottom six forward group. Removing salary and obtaining a 3rd rounder for Florida is also a pretty good return. Like this deal for both sides.
Webster6
I'm just glad we didn't pick him up to add to our plethora of 3rd liners.
Mike Vanderhoek
We don't have to compare what a deal like this will do to any potential Canucks moving out for picks. Why would Vancouver deal Matthias for a 3rd rounder ? he is far more valuable to this team, probably his best season in the NHL to date has been this season, I'd like to think Vancouver understands keeping him is where they get the most value. Skirbs11
Good pick up for Minny IMO, also sheds a contract and salary cap or Florida good move for both teams Also might set a benchmark price for similar players that are looking to be traded

Apple Juice
Thought he would go for a 4th round or later. Good that Florida got a 3rd despite his public request
Coconuts
Good for both teams, though we don't need Minnesota improving. Ahh well, at least it wasn't us trading for him.
Senpai
And the Leafs think they can get a 2nd AND Burmistrov for Winnik XD Winnik definitely has more value, but not by THAT much..
