hellosinki
Amazing hit. Hopefully he's able to do that in the NHL. Plus give us some offense.

TheCammer
This is on the Jake Virtanen prospect page but I know there are a lot of people who probably don't visit it regularly so I thought they might be interested. Hauf 6'-4" and 223 lbs, who had Jake lined up for a trip into next week got a very unpleasant surprise. Thanks. This kid is going to be a beast. Ghostsof1915
And with that hit, the whole Western Conference said. "Uh-oh."

Chalky
That video made me smile ear to ear, followed by a coy grin as I thought about how this kid is going to CRUSH! our enemies.
JamesB
Playing in a kid league doesn't mean anything in the NHL A guy who is 6' 4" and weighs over 220 lbs is the same size no matter what league he is in. Having the strength to hammer a guy that size over the boards DOES translate to the NHL. That was a big part of the reason Horvat could play in the NHL this year. He has the strength to handle the NHL. Most guys coming out of Junior just aren't strong enough and need a couple of years to add weight and muscle mass. Virtanen has NHL strength even as an 18-year old, which is great. I still think he probably goes back to Junior next year, but he is an excellent prospect. 5nothincanucksohno
1st time I've seen it as well; jesus christ he's strong.... Ok.... Virtanen - Horvat - Kassian in 2020? Or if everything falls into place next year: Sedin - Sedin - Kass Virtanen - Horvat - Vrbata Higgins - Bonino - Hansen Kenins - Mattias - Dorsett Pretty solid if all goes well (would still have good call up depth on the farm). Nice to add another winger and dman - i.e. trade away some vets (love Burrows but don't see how he fits anymore).

Patchoball Cannons
Awesome! Can't wait to see this kid in a Nucks Jersey. Love the way he throws his weight around. With Virt, Kennins, Horvat, Kass, Dorsett, Burrows and Hansen, the Canucks are becoming a scary team for any opposing D corps in the league. Keep your head up! Cupless44
Bennings pick of Virtanen at #6 last June was controversial among fans who wanted finesse players like Ehlers or Nylander but I really have to ask.... How can any Canuck fan who has watched the Canucks get pushed around for years not like the drafting of a rugged fast power forward from the lower mainland????
