Can anyone dethrone the Kings ?

I hate the Kings but I think they're headed for another cup this year. Who is going to stop them in a 7 game series?

Nashville definitely can.

They've beaten them twice this year and scored 11 goals in those two wins. They definitely have the kings number.

Yes. In the regular season. But the Kings have proven time and time again that they have another gear in the playoffs.

The Kings will be hard to beat again. Back 2 back Cups would not surprise me at all.

Nashville plays a similar style to the Kings and have never been deeper up front.

If RInne continues to play the way he has, I see the Preds edging them.

If you asked a few days ago I'd would have said Chicago might. Now, nobody. That despicable la team has mastered grinding out 4 wins out of a 7-game series against any team. Nashville? good luck winning just one game.

Pat Kane's injury is yet another timely gift from the blind Hockey Gods, to the undeserving Hell's Angels. Apparently the more I curse them and wish for the worst things, the more they win... This is just a tough time to be a hockey fan :(.

I don't see Canucks' beating the LA kings this year. To beat LA you need 3 things.

1. Hit them back

2. Finish your chances

3. Goaltending through full 60 minutes. ( remember when Miller let 2 in the third against them)

Now I know a critic will say something like,"yeah thats for any team" and I say "wrong". Here is why, LA kings are a team that keeps coming at you. They don't sit back and they don't stop playing their system. Furthermore, they have a deadly penalty kill and they always look to out muscle your defence by looking for tips, they will hit you, they will slash you (eg dustin brown), they will out chance you (thanks refs).

This LA king team is no joke. In a 7 game series, they will wear down your defence and hit them over and over. Realistically in the west I only see Chicago, St louis and Nashville beating them. Why? Because they know how to playoff hockey. I remember the Canucks' versus the Sharks it was a horrible series full of dumb plays and bad calls. I don't see us beating LA this year, they are way too big and skilled for our current line up we got.

That wouldn't shock me but if they meet and it turns into a war, I lean towards the Kings digging deep and pulling it out. Too many guys with all that playoff experience.

Someone will have to put them down early. If not, look out. They are the team that can't be killed

The Kings are spent, they don't have stamina to repeat.

They should have, but aren't. I watched many of the kings' games (cheering against them and cursing them, of course) but they never seem to get tired. They barely get bitten by injury bugs either. Anyone remembers the old Energizer bunny commercial? Yeah, they just keep going and going, ultimately wearing down the other team.

If I were a league official I would pay very close attention to what the team is feeding its players...

With the way they've been playing, and Kane's injury, LA have to be considered overwhelming favourites. That said, anything can happen once the second season starts.

All it would take is an injury to Quick or Doughty to knock them down a peg. And as we saw with Chicago, that can happen at anytime, even on a seemingly harmless play.

well you do have edmonton listed at 5th in the pacific...above calgary

but yeah the only thing that would make me happier than the canucks making the playoffs is LA missing the playoffs. Maybe anaheim will help us tonight

... And it seems the only way that LA can be killed off. Personally I wouldn't mind at all seeing Quick gets run over or Doughty gets his big head knocked off.
