I don't doubt Clendening will be a good D in the future but currently he does turn it over a lot and if I see him throw it up the middle one more time I'll hurl. Strange Kassian makes a bone head move and he's in the press box, rightly so, Clendening makes a bone headed play & he's up next shift. It should be kept in mind the first skill that a defenseman needs is the ability to play....defense.... It's a toss up between Clendening and Sbisa who turns over the puck the most.

Pretty sure Clend ending does not have to clear waivers this year.

It's why he was in Rockford, and Erixon a healthy scratch in Chi. Erixon had to clear...

That said, still staying. Not our best defuseman or biggest shot. But easily the best overall puck puck skills and ability to break down opposing D. And ok on D, an asset clearing, even carrying the puck up ice against pressure. All part of a skill set the team sorely needs!

Corrrado will go down, not because he does not deserve to be here, but because he can clear. Unless we trade Weber.

I have been a Bieksa fan for years, but the gloss was off that rose last year, and this year he is pretty much done. Trade him for a late first rounder to a contender (top up with a prospect, if necessary).

Move Weber.

Trade Hamhuis - could get a mid-first from a would be contender with an inconvenient injury.

Keep:

Edler, Tanev, Sbisa, Stanton, Clendenning, Biega, Corrado - All the defensemen are under 30.

Prospects remaining:

Sanguinetti, Andersson, Pedan, Blain, McNally, Hutton, Subban, McEneny, Cederholm, Liberati, Tryamkin - and take another look at Koltsov (the rubble's value has been cut in half, and Koltsov has been having a helluva year).
