Brick Tamland
If there was ever a chance for a conspiracy to take place, the most sought after player since Crosby to get drafted will end up on the Leafs via amazing luck in the draft lottery. Shanny has made his call to Bettman. The association that owns the Leafs have paid their premium for the first overall.
Ghostsof1915
I've just had this weird feeling they are going to win the lottery.

Ronalds.Kenins41
If it was a conspiracy (which I doubt there is) it would not go to Toronto. Toronto sells its games out no matter what, while the southern markets are struggling to fill their seats. If anything I see it going to either Buffolo or a southern market. And that's IF the draft is rigged, which its not. At the end of the day, Edmonton tanked in the wrong years; imo the only notable player they got from tanking was Hall. Yak and Nuge are nothing compared to Tavares, Stamkos, Crosby, Toews, Kane, Mackinnon. Toronto is doing the same. Tanking is such a waste, I mean look at Calgary. They are competitive in a much shorter time span compared to Edmonton.

thejazz97
Top 5 prediction for McD (in no particular order): Toronto: Faith in the franchise. Arizona: Brings money to the team. Buffalo: The likely winners. Columbus: Just feels like the team that'll get him. Edmonton: Need I say more?

hockeyfan90
Why would Bettman help a canadian team win the cup by giving them the next Crosby? Although it is the Leafs lol

Ronalds.Kenins41
Leafs are the biggest money producer, they want McDavid. But landing McDavid would not change how much they make (at least in the long run). Arizona, LA, Florida and Carolina need them more. And in the long run, it would be more profitable for them to get McDavid. Outside of Buffolo, I think Arizona has the highest chance of getting it. Edmonton can't possibly get the first overall, and if they do they won't be draft McDavid.
Mathew Barzal
Yeah McDavid to the Leafs and Matthews to the Coyotes the year after. Bettman probably cranks one out to those fantasies every day.

The Oilers are a whole different class at ruining talent, no other team comes close.

There's a big difference.
