Phil_314
Huh. Buffalo's really wingin' it back there. Wonder what the asking price for Bogosian would be?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Canucks nation would implode if it happened! Really though, seeing how they're tanking, hope Benning takes a swing with a low pick at Meszaros (Zidlicky only went for a 3rd, Andrej isn't doing better but he's a solid puck-moving D-man). elvis15
Just to make the tank job a little less obvious, the Sabres should trade for Pavelec. Just as good as having no goalie, but with a goalie. Nope, Miller. He's already injured and it actually is having no goalie.
SabreFan1
Nobody has pointed out yet that the Sabres traded Halak for Neuvirth last year to begin with. Now Neuvirth gets to back him up.

SabreFan1
Might as well sign Cloutier! While Murray's at it, it may as well be an entertaining blast from the past - Bring Jacques Cloutier out of retirement!
Apple Juice
Haha this is hilarious As part of blowing up their roster on deadline day, the Buffalo Sabres traded away starting goaltender Michal Neuvirth to the New York Islanders for netminder Chad Johnson. But it was another, more famous Chad Johnson that was the first to make his love for the Sabres known. Yes, we’re talking about the football player Chad Johnson. The former NFL wide receiver who last suited up for the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes tweeted to the Sabres soon after news broke of the deal for his goaltending name-felllow. @ochocinco The message from Johnson quickly turned into a bit of a game between the Sabres and the once-named Chad Ochocinco. Once the Sabres had realized the former NFL star was aware of the deal that had brought a new netminder to Buffalo, they Tweeted back to Johnson, telling him they were ready for him to suit up, but just needed to know what size skates he was after. Johnson, always the showman, had the perfect response: @ochocinco Suffice to say that if there’s a way to make this happen — having Johnson suit up with the Sabres or even a Chad Johnson vs. Chad Johnson showdown of sorts — we’re all in. It wouldn’t be the first time a hockey team has pulled a stunt to draw attendance. You may recall that in 2002, former NBA player Manute Bol, all 7-foot-7 of him, suited up for a game with the Central Hockey League’s Indianapolis Ice. Although Bol didn’t actually touch the ice during the game, it was a pretty great publicity stunt and one that helped raise money for children in Sudan. The 6-foot-1 Johnson may not be as odd to see on skates, but it would certainly be good for a laugh. And, hey, if nothing else, we want to know where you can get all gold skates. http://www.thehockeynews.com/blog/former-nfler-chad-johnson-tells-sabres-hes-ready-after-buffalo-acquires-goaltender-with-same-name/

Mimerez
I remember Neuvirth crying about not getting to be a starter in Washington, so he got traded to Buffalo. Now he gets to whine about not being a starter again.

Mathew Barzal
http://sabres.buffalonews.com/2015/03/06/sabres-johnson-heads-injury-list-playing-game-done-year/ OTTAWA – It didn’t take Chad Johnson long to learn what it means to be a member of the 2014-15 Buffalo Sabres. Next time he’s in the crease, he might be a member of the 2015-16 Sabres. The goaltender, scheduled to make his Sabres debut Friday, suffered a lower-body injury just hours before a 3-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators. Johnson took part in the morning skate in Canadian Tire Centre and got hurt just before it ended. “Chad, unfortunately, hurt something lower body and he’ll be out for a while,” coach Ted Nolan said. “Not day-to-day, it’ll be for a while.” Johnson, acquired from the New York Islanders on Monday, was eager to show his new organization it can count on him. The first impression will have to wait. With only five weeks left in the season, “a while” could be the remaining 17 games. “It possibly could be,” Nolan said. “We’ll get our doctors to look at him, and we’ll see what happens.” Anders Lindback, who played his first game for the Sabres on Tuesday, started in Johnson’s place. He made 34 saves and said he’s ready to play Saturday in Washington. “I've been working toward this for a long time,” Lindback said. “I'll be ready to go again.” The Sabres recalled Andrey Makarov from Rochester to serve as the backup against the Senators. The 21-year-old joined the Sabres for the third time in his career. He has yet to appear in a game. The goalie is 14-14-3 with a .899 save percentage and 3.04 goals-against average with the Amerks this season. Nolan wasn’t sure if the Sabres would keep Makarov or send him back to Rochester and bring Matt Hackett to Buffalo.
