CanuckofSteel
What?! Isn't Baertschi NHL ready pretty much? What year is the pick?
Everybody Hates Raymond
inb4 people who don't know $&!# about Baertschi giving their EDUCATED OPINION on how this is an awful trade Great trade. He'll do well.
Down by the River
Never fit in with the Flames, don't see him as a big addition to the Canucks for this year, but down the road this could be really nice. Classic Benning. Speeding up the re-tool by using a pick that could get a Baertschi-like player to acquire the actual player today.
TheRussianRocket.
Awesome! Slick slick prospect. Hasn't found his step in Calgary but one of the most skilled prospects out there. Just hasn't translated to the NHL yet but can turn it around. Like JB said, he's willing to make a trade for a player further up on development and Sven is a lot more developed than a 2nd round pick. Flames faithful are sick to their stomach with this deal. Talks highly to well JB did this.

Stefan
we gave up a second round pick for this guy... omg I wanted to get picks not trade them. Benning really should have considered what you wanted.
LeanBeef
Lol alot of posters here were calling him a bust a couple of months ago. I guess they have to support him now.
elvis15
I don't know that I would have done it for a 2nd. Maybe a 3rd, but ok. He's had trouble at the NHL level, even with a rebuilding Calgary team. He has been good in the AHL though, and he'll add a lot of skill to the Comets. He could still pan out as a skilled player at the NHL level and it's not a terrible risk to take.
