Toyotasfan
The flames obviously knew last Saturday how bad Giordano's injury was when they traded Glencross. Looking more like deadline sellers than a playoff team
*Buzzsaw*
This sucks... Everything is working out for the Kings, and they don't deserve it.
DownUndaCanuck
Wow, Calgary is done then. And a shame too because they would have been a very beatable 1st round opponent. Now we'll probably draw Los Angeles or San Jose who have our number.

Where's Wellwood
The Voynov situation The Richards situation What situation? He sucked, they waived him. That's hockey. Toffoli getting mono of all things Pearson breaking his ankle Name me one team that's faced more distractions and adversity this year. So because of injury/outside circumstances, they don't have Voynov, Toffoli, and Pearson for long periods of time We had a third of our team injured. Miller, Edler, Tanev, Bieksa, Corrado, Burrows, Richardson, Bonino. That's a starting goalie, 3 top-4 D, 1 bottom-2 D, 2 2nd liners, and a 3rd line centre. That's a hell of a lot of adversity. oldnews
Horrible injury to one hell of an undeserving guy. Have always liked, appreciated (and wanted) Giordano, - particularly when they were shedding their core for futures, but that window closed - in any event, he might be the best all around player in the NHL at this point, or certainly in the running with guys like Bergeron and Datsyuk.... Hope the guy recovers and returns to form next year.
MusclePharm
Trust me, i hate calgary as much as the next guy but inwas really hoping for a Canucks and Flames round 1.

Twilight Sparkle
sucks. i was rooting for the flames, i really was. i've long since gotten over my hatred for the flames and wished for more canadian teams in the playoffs. huge blow for us, and the nhl likely gets their way again
Industrious1
Tough break for the Flames at the worst possible time to their worst possible player. Not a Flames fan in any way shape or form but I've got a lot of respect for Giordano and I hope he has swift and complete recovery. D-Money
Hopefully this doesn't motivate the Flames to play harder...but I have a feeling it will If it's hard enough to keep the Kings out of the playoffs (while us still being in), then let's go Flames!!! Coconuts
Sucks, I've got a lot of respect for him as a player. He was having a hell of a season. I'll be surprised if the a Flames make the playoffs in spite of this loss, he's their engine. Who knows though.
tyhee
So Calgary is out of the race. They've had a great run, but they don't have the depth to recover from this That may be right, though a month ago not many would have predicted Vancouver had the depth to stay in the playoff hunt with Tanev, Edler, Bieksa, Corrado, Bonino, Burrows, Richardson and Miller all out with injuries at the same time. 420since1974
Calgary started the season without 3/4 of their top centers and their top LW, all for extended periods. I think they are around 180 man games lost to injury so far this season. Not sure what the Canucks numbers are like.
hockeyville88
Tough one. Curious one to see how Calgary responds. They have shown a lot of toughness and resilience this year
