NON Lemme break it down. Edler ='s the Domi and 2nd Matthews ='s the OEL and the 1st in 2016. That's actually a very fair trade

Gardiner is 25 and is a good 5,not anything more than that, he is also left handed. Please check your facts before trying to prove a point. How many games did kadri play? Lock out year he put up 44 point in 48 games. Hmmm. Maybe you should check again. When the offer occurred gardiner wasn't 25. It was one year removed from Burke saying he was there franchise and untradable. Kadri - 7th overall gardiner - 17th overall nylander - 8th overal. messier's_elbow
If we get a top 6 pick it's going to be hard for Benning to screw it up. It's looking like the 2013 draft all over again in the top 10-

AV's Coin
What do you guys think of this Nylander kid. Would you take him over a d-man (Chychrun or Juolevi) as per Buttons mock draft. I think I know the answer as most of you have a hard on for a d-man but I did not get to see him play in the WJC.

He's a great prospect and so is his brother but I'd rather take Juolevi. We need a stud Dman with his talents. He can get the puck out of the defensive end with ease and hes a PP QB. Chychrun is a but overrated in my opinion but I haven't seen him play a lot. He reminds me of Dion in Toronto. Was Juolevi injured in the gold medal game? missioncanucksfan
Imo I think Juolevi could surpass Chychrun as top dman in the draft. Selecting either of Puljujarvi, Laine or Juolevi would be huge

Gstank29
Watching a replay of the Gold Medal game. Laine is a Benning type of player. If we pick second overall I highly doubt Benning picks anyone besides Laine

McBackup
If we got the first overall I wouldn't trade it. While we have good centre depth, we're in sore need of a number 1C once Hank retires, and those players don't come by easily. Matthews looks to be the real deal. The idea of trading Pick 1 is completely mind boggling. And so is the package proposed by Arizona. Matthews is the right choice for the first pick IMO but if someone who has to pick second has to make a decision the best one would be to trade down to 3 and pick up one of Laine and Puji and get something extra in that trade.
