Wedding Venues in the Valley

I just got engaged and my future wife has very specific ideas about what she wants for a venue.. wondering if anyone out there has any ideas.. we've looked for a few weeks now and would like to find something soon.. She wants something with a nice garden area for the ceremony and pictures, a hall for the reception after and it has to have a nice view of the mountains in the background. We are willing to go anywhere from Langley to Hope.. If anyone out there has any spots that you think fit, please let me know :) Thanks!

I got married in Langley at the Golf and Banquet centre, fantastic facility, top notch food and they will work with you on your needs.

The grand room was unreal, music was great and the ambiance was amazing !

Venue, food, etc etc all in was around $20,000 for the whole event with no booze included in that price.

The bridge at the venue made for some fantastic pictures.

I used to live in Langley, and I have to say that Langley Golf centre is a pretty nice facility. Service is awesome!

I also, would recommend Redwoods Golfcourse and Country club and Newlands golf course in Langley. Both fantastic places from head to toe!

Good luck!

While i will agree with Redwoods, I do have to say that Newlands is a dump. It's old, run down and not the best service.

It's very cheap compared to Redwoods and Langley Golf and Banquet but you pay for what you get.

It looks like your getting married in an Teradactyl cage, haha.

I had mine at Occasions at the Pond in Surrey. Unfortunately is rained on our wedding day but they have a nice outdoor garden area, the catering was good, and the reception hall is in the same spot.

It'll all depend on what you want to spend and how many people you will have attending (all things we don't know) but a buddy of mine did his at the garden place in the valley past Chilliwack. I can't remember if it was Minter Gardens, but it has multiple garden areas for the ceremony and reception halls.

Just want to confirm WHICH valley you mean.

There are numerous novelty ranches in and around Langley and Abbey that do wedding packages as well as more than a few places up towards Whistler/Pemberton for a decent price.

The most important thing is to make sure your costs for the venue are including specific items in a package. Don't get shafted by paying venue and THEN other fees for seating food etc.

If in the Okanagan valley. Well man, I can take you to about a dozen I'll be shooting at this year.

Edit** Just read, all Fraser Valley.

here are a few links to venues I've shot at near the area.

And check them for planning and venue assistance. Incredibly well composed and they know EVERYTHING about weddings in and around the fraser valley area.

Good luck on your big day

Same venue for both wedding and reception? Ive been to a fair number of weddings here and none had the same venue for both. The large room on top of the law courts in downtown Vancouver is very nice for a reception. my sister had hers there and they were on a fairly tight budget.

I went to the wedding of friend in Abbotsford at a place called Brambles or Bramblewood, something like that.

It was awesome. Food was fantastic.
