Earlier in the season I would have picked Nashville, and they may come back... but right now they seem to have lost the confidence they had earlier. If you don't think the Rangers are going to do it... pick another team. By the way, if you searched my posts you will note I have said several times quite a long time ago, (when the Rangers were not leading the league) that I felt the Rangers were going to be in the finals. They've out-classed just about every other team in the league head-to-head, and for the most part, without their best player on the ice. When Lundquist returns and gets warmed into the game again this team will be deadly in the playoffs. Their whooping of Anaheim was just a statement game as well. It's rare that a team gets bounced in the SCF, then comes back to the big dance the next season in the modern era, but it may well happen this season. Realistically I forsee a Tampa VS NYR Eastern Conference Final, and in the West I think there'll be a fair few upsets (Anaheim, Nashville, Chicago are all not as strong as they used to be), perhaps St Louis VS Vancouver/Calgary. We could funilly enough see a rematch SCF with Tampa - Calgary or Vancouver - New York which would be headline-central. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We were complaining simply because his time here reached its expiry date and his voice wasn't being heard by the players ala the last couple years and disappointments.
