Jam126
This story just speaks itself. I don't like the announcement, they said they wanted to "add" new things to Zelda. Anyone pleasant or unpleasant this happened?
DonaldBrashear
Is this such a life shattering announcement for you? That you need to wait a bit longer for Zelda U to come out?
Canucks1219
I don't think that I'm the only one not surprised by this. I'd rather they make the best game they can rather than rush the thing. It's one of the major franchises for Nintendo so they can't afford having this game be anything other than "another great installment". The delays for Twilight Princess did admittedly annoy me slightly but I thought it was worth the wait when I played it. That's not an invitation to delay Zelda Wii U any more though! Also, there are lots of great games for the WiiU (that haven't been delayed!) that we can play in the mean time. Xenoblade Chronicles X Splatoon Star Fox Being some of the bigger names. Master Mind
Of course I'd rather it come out this year, but if taking an extra year means the game will be much better, then I'll gladly wait. Wouldn't want them to rush what would be one of the biggest games on the console.
DollarAndADream
From what we saw in the video they showed awhile ago, the game looked like it was in the alpha stage or something with how bland the world was. I'm not surprised at all by the delay, and obviously nothing but good will come from it. If they need more time to make the game better, then so be it. From the beginning I thought Holiday 2015 was a little soon anyways.
Monty
Definitely not surprised. And like others have mentioned, I'd rather they take time to create the best game and gaming experience that they can. Most Zelda games end up being really well done, and this one has the potential to end up being one of the best games in years. So better they make it as perfect as possible. g_bassi13
That's fine. Necessary and obvious delay was necessary. As long as Xenoblade and Star Fox still come out this year, I'll be content. If either of those gets delayed as well, the years lineup will look a lot more pathetic.

If either of those gets delayed as well, the years lineup will look a lot more pathetic. Xenoblade seems like a sure release this year. It's coming out within the next month in Japan and the simultaneous advertising/promotion on Nintendo's non-Japanese social media outlets (YouTube/Twitter/etc.) lead me to believe it can't be too far off. Star Fox is interesting. It's going to be playable at this year's E3 but, up to this point, we have yet to really see any sort of in-game footage or even screens. For a game that is coming out this year it all seems relatively late.
DollarAndADream
Xenoblade and Star Fox are coming out this year, but I can't say I'm even slightly close to as excited for those as I am for Zelda. I've never really played a Xenoblade though, so I could probably get into it. Star Fox I love the N64 one and Adventure on the Gamecube, so I can see myself getting into it as well. They just don't touch Zelda for me though.

Star Fox I'm also worried about. Like you said, it's coming on late. They said they think Splatoon will change the shooter genre like Mario Kart 64 changed the racing genre. It wouldn't surprise me, but I'd need to see it before I believe it.
Qwags
This just means that we will to wait longer for a better game. Should be worth it.
Dragonfruits
this isn't anything new for Zelda games http://kotaku.com/reminder-nintendo-has-been-delaying-zelda-games-for-de-1694170626 Ocarina of Time was delayed from 1997 to 1998 Wind Waker was delayed from 2002 to 2003 Twilight Princess was delayed from 2005 to 2006 so we can probably assume that Zelda Wii U was slated for 2015 will come out in 2016 one ign video had someone mention they wanted to make it like Skyrim and they probably were like we should play Skyrim then realized crap maybe we need more time i'm not too worried because i truly believe there isn't a game that Nintendo could make that would bring numbers up to being respectable but that doesn't bother me from enjoying it and with a PC there's not many games i miss out on Metroid Zelda and Star Fox maybe F-Zero maybe another 3D Mario other than that there isn't much more i want in my Wii U collection
avelanch
zelda delays are as expected as night following day. I was more than a little surprised that they were still saying 2015 earlier this year, this makes a lot more sense.
