Luongo lets in a mcsoftie. 3-2 Bruins with 1:09 left. Bruins are going to playoffs. Barf...

Yeah, he didn't like it either. Of course the Panthers also weren't skating in the 3rd. Not sure what happened to the team that dominated the Bruins in the 2nd but they hung Luo out to dry in the 3rd and it cost them.

Damn. :(

Brutal loss. Florida needed that game badly. Now they need to win-out with Boston only winning 1 game at the most...

Bruins going to the playoffs and after the Jets loss the Kings have a really good chance at overtaking them now too

2 canadian teams go out and 2 teams that we fracking hate go in, worst case scenario looks like it will happen.

Isn't that usually the case with the NHL?

even if Ottawa goes 4-2 over their last 6 Bruins only need to win 2 of their remaining 5

not looking good

Losing two in a row really hurt em. As great a run as it was they had very little room for error.

They'll likely miss, but I hope they have a strong season next go round. They'll get a worse pick, but that could be mitigated a bit if they take a step forward next season.

Calgary Flames left wing Johnny Gaudreau, who led all rookies with 16 points (7-9—16) in 15 games, has been named the NHL Rookie of the Month for March.

Gaudreau edged Ottawa Senators right wing Mark Stone (4-11—15 in 16 GP), Boston Bruins teammates Ryan Spooner (7-7—14 in 15 GP) and David Pastrnak (3-10—13 in 15 GP), Carolina Hurricanes center Victor Rask (3-8—11 in 15 GP), and Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson (6-2-0, 2.50 GAA, .918 SV%) for the honor.

Gaudreau, a fourth-round selection (104th overall) by the Flames in the 2011 NHL Draft, recorded at least one point in 10 of his 15 March appearances, highlighted by four multi-point efforts. Those included his fourth career multi-goal game in a 6-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks March 11 (2-0—2) and his fourth career game-winning goal in a 5-3 triumph over the Dallas Stars March 30 (1-1—2).

With his performance, the 21-year-old Salem, N.J., native moved into first place in rookie scoring with 22-38—60 (76 GP). He also paces all rookies in assists (38), power-play goals (7), power-play assists (t-13) and power-play points (20) this season.

Gaudreau, who also earned the award in December, joins Los Angeles Kings left wing Tanner Pearson (October), Nashville Predators center Filip Forsberg (November), Dallas Stars defenseman John Klingberg (January) and New York Islanders center Anders Lee (February) as Rookie of the Month winners this season.
