Chalky
Will the thought police stop me from rooting for another team while in the Chase Club and Lexus Lounge? What happens if I cheer for an opposing team goal? Will I be asked to leave? I agree they CAN do it, but it seems extraordinarily douchy to me...especially in a fringe market. elvis15
Lol kettle calling the pot black, I rememember in 11, a golf course renamed themselves "Canucks Ridge" from Predators Ridge when we played Nashville. ?! That was temporary during the playoff run to support the team (Boston Pizza did something similar, but for multiple teams iirc). They didn't kick anyone off the course that had a hat with an NHL team's log other than the Canucks or exclude them from the clubhouse or something. But for the Tampa thing, so long as it's not a major area where a fan might like to experience the game from, like the Best Buy Club, then I don't see an issue. If it's just a couple of the luxury boxes then someone wearing a different log could choose to attend in a different luxury box.

From how I interpret this, this is to avoid problems with fan-to-fan confrontations. Security would already be overtaxed. I don't agree with the idea, as you say so too, but Yzerman's overseeing this; he must have had a hand on talking about this.
RUPERTKBD
Wonder if it's gonna be as loud and raucous as the Jets' rink? Those guys turn it UP They're just doing that to try and stay warm.
McBackup
That's BS. A lot of people retire to Florida and a lot of different fans live in Florida. They can't tell people what to wear unless it's offensive (curse words). That's garbage. What if someone is offended by a rival teams logo? I wouldn't have made the comment but I hate that Florida has two NHL teams (sour grapes?). Still, three must precedent for them to do this, I've never really heard of violence in their arena before though.

Chalky
There's going to be a third team? You bastard (in the figurative meaning). I mean THERE must be precedent to not let opposing team jerseys in the specified areas to avoid fan to fan confrontations. Edit...fail.

tocnhockey
This all came about because Tampa "fears" Canucks are going to win the W/C final, play Tampa in the SC final and they don't want their building to be over run by Canuck Nation, like other team's buildings were during the Canucks last cup run to the SC final,
ruletherink
There is a good chance they will play the Red Wings in the first round, so there may be a lot of Michigan transplants there.. or fans travelling for the game. So if anything, pre-emptive move against them. Otherwise if they finish first, they could be playing Boston in the first round.. again probably a good travelling/transplanted fan base. Top it off with a possible Montreal 2nd round appearance..and maybe the Rangers in the ECF.. TB is gonna get over run by Original Six fans. But the whole idea is stupid.
